「This was by far one of the best inn rooms I have slept in for years. The bed was big and comfortable with a great mattress topper, two big wide windows for air. There was both a bath and a shower and both were clean. Tv and great coffee machine with plenty of milk and sugar with milk alternatives if needed. 「The property could definitely do with updating; a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss. However, I would describe the property as quirky. Parking limited but safe. Staff go above and beyond, very friendly and helpful. Food was very good. Overall 4 stars, just needs a bit of TLC.」

「We had a lovely weekend at Arden House. Lucie organised everything with so much attention to detail and care that being there felt like a cosy home. We even received a welcome card and chocolate Easter eggs every time the room was cleaned. The location was also great, just a five-minute walk from the castle. The rooms were spotlessly clean. 「Great location two minutes walk from the seafront. Functional premises, no frills, room was clean and comfortable. There are NO ensuite facilities here, large kitchen area with fridges, microwave, kettle and toaster. Very acceptable for a short undemanding stay.」

「I loved the sitting room which had very interesting historical references. The bedroom was very clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel is in a great location. I took a drink from the Tap bar into the sitting room and relaxed after a busy day. I would definitely stay here again and will pass it on to anyone I know who wants to visit Arundel. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming.」

「Lovely house in a beautiful setting. Decor old fashioned but OK. Most staff helpful and pleasant. No hot water on first day and, despite informing a staff member, it was only lukewarm on second day. Poor breakfast on first day - some food not available (eg bacon) and only one staff member on duty while also covering reception. Driveway full of potholes.」
