Well…you do get what you pay for. This hotel worked well for the budget. The staff was friendly. The bed actually more comfortable than I expected. The room was more outdated than the picture, but it did feel clean. There were absolutely no towels in the room. When they brought us towels, we were brought 2 towels only, no wash cloth or hand towels…that just seemed weird to me. Shower was hot, ac was cold, but the ac did make a noise all night.

The room was very basic, not even a chair. Smelled like stale smoke. Flooring was coming up and uneven. Bathroom was decrepit and old. Toilet barely worked. The pool was closed. We had zero interest to try the continental breakfast after staying in the room.

The staff was very helpful and kind. The room was bad enough that we’re checking out early. The bedspreads were stained; the fixtures were broken and filthy; the bed is just a mattress on a box metal box, and I sunk into the mattress when I sat on it; there wasn’t even a trashcan or blankets in the room, and when we tried to call the office, the phone in our room didn’t work; there were obvious patches in the walls where they have fixed things, and zero craftsmanship in the finish; the smoke alarm batteries gave up at 3 am and the alert went off; and there wasn’t even a shower curtain on the shower rod, just shower water bouncing into the bathroom!

Checked in evening...they did not have my room. Turns out this hotel house homeless. I had to go down the street to another hotel. They even have tables and tent shade in parking lot to eat at sit at. This is not a place to stay will family...Avoid at all cost. They lied and said maintenance problem so no room left. New hotel told me the truth, the contract out all their rooms for homeless. AVOID

Hippy check in guy was awesome and friendly. The room is what you expect at this price point. It's rough but it was clean and staff seemed eager to assist with anything. Good little place to bail for a night and party in Chico. You can walk everywhere.
