We love, love, loved staying at this property! Perfect location, with privacy and unbelievable view. Five minute walk to endless lengths of rocky beach, complete with natural waterfalls overrunning the surrounding stunning ocean cliffs. House itself had so much charm, filled with beautiful antiques, and flanked with a massive multi-level deck. Kitchen was large, well-equipped, and a lovely space for all of us to make meals together. The fireplace was a lovely feature and a perfect centrepiece for hours of laughter and conversation on cute and comfy couches. Literally already making plans to come back next summer. Will come with kids as the place is definitely large enough and nicely set up for a family with young ones to enjoy. Highly recommended!

Incredible place to stay and enjoy the stunning view of the waterfront. Cozy and inviting cottage with everything you may need or forgot to grab on the way there. Comfortable beds you will want to stay in longer. Great outdoor space on the deck and around a bonfire in the evening. This is the place you want to come back in future.
The host is very organized, and easy to communicate through email or text messages. Thank you, Angela!

This property had the feel of an old haunted mansion. Wonderful, beautiful, secluded property at end of unpaved road, close to rocky beach. Great location for hiking and biking to nearby coastal sights and waterfalls.
House itself is a tear-down and not really fit for vacation rental. Does VRBO not do any vetting? Very overpriced. Should rent for about $50 per night.
No operable windows with screens on main floor. Musty, damp odor on main floor. No comfortable seating in LR. No local TV stations in real time - only streaming. Kitchen is good for local restaurants as you will NOT be tempted to cook here. Kitchen needs a deep cleaning and frankly a complete reno. All bathrooms very odd and water pressure is problematic. Driveway full of mud running off unpaved road. Decks - sketchy construction in a sort of Rube Goldberg manner (Yikes!). Not impressed with piles of wood debris and firewood stacked all over the place.
Bed was comfortable. Wifi worked well. Interesting art and antique furniture was lovely but not very practical for comfort of guests. Much more of a museum and curiosity than a restful vacation retreat. Generally people look for more comfort on a vacation not less.
Save your money. Check in at a nice local motel/hotel/bed and breakfast inn and drive to beach and hiking sights. Much nicer places to stay in Windsor area or Kentville for much less $$$$ & onsite staff, amenities, linens, etc. This is our last transaction with VRBO.Buyer beware.Yikes!

We were 4 couples on a three week vacation to the Maritimes and spent 3 nights at this property. While the home met our basic needs the term “remodelled mansion like” is misleading. The kitchen has older tile and grout counter tops and older cabinets and appliances. We appreciated the washer and dryer, but the dryer was difficult to access. A member of our group repaired the screen on the front sliding door. One of the toilets had a broken handle and we had to use the chain in the tank to flush. (To be fair, we did not contact the manager to request a fix). The largest bedroom with very large windows had no window coverings, so it was very bright as soon as the sun rose. In all areas of the house there was a fairly unpleasant musty smell.
The bed linens were good and there were enough towels for everyone. We had plenty of hot water, even with 8 showing in the morning. The kitchen was well stocked with sufficient dishes for 8. We really enjoyed the front deck with the ocean view and great star gazing.

The landscape was beautiful. Although partially remodeled, the home smelt musty and stagnant. The decor was interesting with a mix of antiques however my children could not appreciate it as it creeped them out. The road to the home was a dirt road and we popped a tire on our rental and needed to replace the entire tire as the hole was too big. The walk to the beach was pleasant and watching the tide come in and out was lovely. The kitchen pots and pans were so old and worn. Had an okay time. Don’t think it was worth the money.

The house has the characteristics of a peaceful era of time gone by! If walls could talk the history of the house would be full of stories! At one time it was probably the queen peering over the bay, anticipating the arrival of fishing boats! The house was clean and accommodating for our stay! Enjoyed the daily visitation of the humming birds! Amazing! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The house was great and as listed. We had a great time and it was really awesome that the host left food to feed the hummingbirds. So many of them came! The large fire pit outside was also great and we used the wood burning grill outside to cook corn and hot dogs. It’s a great remote location, incredible view over the Bay of Fundy and a short walk access down to a rocky beach where we saw a bald eagle. The hammock and chairs on the balcony are very comfortable. The bedrooms and beds as well. Thanks!

Let me start by saying this property has amazing views and an amazing Beach but the property is very remote and you almost require 4 wheel drive to get there. Once there other than the Lobster# close by everything else is 45 minutes away! Oh and the road to Lobster# is almost inaccessible.
The house has 4 bedrooms up and 2 extremely old bathrooms that are very awkward and uncomfortable to use. There is a newly remodeled bath on first floor but who wants to go up and down steps constantly to get ready??? The house has a very strong Musty Oder and even when you open windows it’s still there. We left a day early because the kids (who are mostly adults) we’re complaining of headaches. The house also has a lot of bugs (ants, fruit flies, and roaches)!!!
Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else and come visit this Beach

Beautiful view of the Bay of Fundy from two fabulous outdoor decks (one appears brand new), easy access to the shoreline down a very short, but steep gravel road, spotlessly clean interior of the house. 4 bedrooms with plenty of space and terrific views from each one, sliding glass doors onto decks from 2 of them. Upstairs was fun, little nooks and unique places to sit, new flooring. Kitchen is a bit of a hodge podge, plenty of dishes/cups, but missing some key items like a full set of mixing cups or measuring spoons, only 1 small frying pan, one outlet in kitchen didn’t work so had to use the one over the sink for electric appliances, mis-matched but very clean decor/sheets/towels/blankets, comfortable beds. You could spend your days relaxing on the wonderful property, but it is far from anything else (except Halls Harbor Lobster Pound - well worth a visit), so be ready to drive a lot if you decide to leave. Easy check-in/check-out.

We had a lovely time at this former B&B under renovation to complete the upgrade into a lovely modern home. The view is amazing. The deck is huge and it is full of beautiful flowers and hummingbirds. We loved watching the hummingbirds while having coffee on the deck in the morning. The grounds are lovely. The front porch has beautiful flowers and lights too. Our family enjoyed playing frisbee on the lawn and walking to the beach. We could see the ocean from every room and hear it at night while sleeping. There was plenty of space for all. The stars were beautiful at night as well from the deck chairs.

We recently stayed at this house for a three generation family retreat. The house itself is quite unique and beautiful; it appears to be a former Bed and Breakfast, with 4 bedrooms conveniently laid out so that each one has a view of the water, with one room with two beds primarily facing the woods (also a lovely view). The first three rooms all overlook the water entirely, with large sliding glass doors to a patio off two bedrooms and a huge picture window with a stunning view on the third. Two rooms at the end can be "closed off" with a door to separate them from the rest of the rooms, which was convenient for guests who had toddlers, so that the kids could stay in an adjacent room and keep it quiet at night.
The rest of the house was equally beautiful, full of tasteful antiques and furniture, and the kitchen has more than enough dishware for all guests.
The large main floor patio was great for eating outside with a gorgeous view of the bay, and the backyard looked like something out of a children's story, complete with mature trees, flower garden, and tons of room for lawn games (we brought bean bag toss!). There is also a trampoline on the side of the house, which we successfully kept the kids from seeing for most of the weekend, but when they did finally notice it, it was thankfully quite safe and well-maintained.
There is an abundance of space in this home for guests, including an exercise space (with some equipment), formal dining room, and many lovely nooks for curling up with a book!
It is a ten minute walk to the beach down a steep hill, or a very quick 1-2 minute drive.
The only downside we had with our stay is that the house has four bedrooms, with 5 full and/or queen beds,, but the extra guest fee is applied after only 4 guests, and the extra guest fee is rather high compared to other rental listings ($40 per person/per day, including infants and toddlers). I recognize the extra cleaning required with more guests, but usually the base rate applies to a guest count closer a bit closer to the sleeping count. That said, it was noted in the invoice and the owner was great about updating the cost when one of our guests had to cancel in advance.
The host/owner was very responsive to questions ahead of time and during our stay.
To sum, we loved our stay here and would quite happily stay again. Would recommend to others who are seeking a well-appointed house for multiple guests, who enjoy a quiet location close to the water.
