“If you want a break away from the hustle this is the perfect tonic. Staff could not be more friendly or accommodating. An idyllic setting, walk down to the pebble beach or use this as a base to drive to the nearby places and come back and enjoy the wonderful food/drinks in the spacious gardens. Thank you!”

“If you are looking for a vfm option in West Bay this hotel is the place. We had room 7 on the first floor, spacious, whirlpool bath and even a teapot. In our opinion 2 negatives for this room, the mattress was way too soft and the seagulls from 0400hrs, can't really do anything about the 2nd being near the sea!!! The breakfast is quality, great choice and only £10 per day. The hotel is not statebor modern if that is what you are looking for, however the atmosphere and staff make up for it.”

“Lovely views from the property, with local walks. We saw geese flying from the lake which was a surprise. The farmhouse was rustic, but pleasant and comfortable. Breakfasts were substantial, and Kate always helpful.”

“We had a lovely night's stay at the Mildmay Arms and were made to feel very welcome. The room was clean and comfortable with a powerful shower. Our evening meal was tasty and we enjoyed our evening in the pub. The staff and the locals were really friendly. There were cold meats/cheese/cereal/yogurt and toast on offer for breakfast which was included. We thought both the room and the meal were really good value and would stay here again. I would just recommend taking earplugs as the church bells……

“Beautiful property and wonderful stay. The only negatives were lack of hair conditioner and hand cream. Room lovely, but needs a little updating here and there. Food and dining wonderful. Staff wonderful ”
