“I assumed this hotel would be adequate. It was not. One look at the sad bed with three old pillows huddled in the corner and a thin blanket pocked with cigarette burns and I went to Target to buy my own bedding. In the bath toilet was not bolted to the floor, tub glaze was worn through and shower head so lime scaled almost not water came out. No one deserves to stay in this squalor.”
