Chiusaforte Hotel with Pool

"Super place to stay. This is the first time we have toured the Austrian Alps and this hotel was a great choice. As it was 'off' season, ie not winter as it's a ski resort. everything was all inclusive, food, alcohol etc. Spa was quite good but we only used the pool, which is heated and has an outdoor section. Food was very good, excellent selection, wide range of choice, and fresh. Hotel overall, although quite a big hotel, it is very well kept and clean."

"Nice hotel right off the main road, lots of parking, beautiful reception with a well stocked bar. Room was spacious with lots of storage. Breakfast was delicious and varied. We enjoyed our stay very much."

"We love this hotel. It is in the perfect location for everything you need and the facilities are fantastic. We enjoyed using the pool every day and the activities available throughout the week including the live music and kids club. "The pros: good location. Staff are generally helpful, if not overly friendly. The hotel is clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet is quite good, and the buffet dinner if you have it is not bad value at €22 for all you can eat and it’s not bad quality. The beds are comfortable. The cons: room is very spartan, didn’t even have a kettle, which we had to request from the reception, fortunately they had one left. No air conditioning, quite stifling in the room, glad it wasn’t too hot when we were there, otherwise it would be unbearable. We were in a room facing the front of the hotel and every morning a very loud church bell would go off at 7am for a few minutes. No sleeping through it. Great alarm if you want to be woken at 7, but terrible if you want any sort of lie in. Our shower holder was broken and two mornings there was no hot water! For a 4 star hotel this is all really poor. The swimming pool complex is large with jacuzzi (you have to pay extra for the sauna), and it’s a horseshoe shape, almost like a small water park, which is great for kids and families splashing about, but no good if you actually want to do any proper swimming. If it had been an £80 a night 3 star hotel we would have been quite happy with it, but for the money we paid and it supposedly being 4 star, we weren’t impressed and overall would not recommend it. On a side note, the tourist tax is more than hotels.com quote. It’s €7 per night."
