“Marina war eine hervorragende Gastgeberin, sie hat uns gezeigt, wie man echte italienische Pasta und verschiedene Pesto zubereitet. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, die Betten sehr bequem, die Küche perfekt ausgestattet. Es gibt viele Sitzmöglichkeiten im Garten und der Pool war einladend und sauber. Wir haben die Zeit in diesem aussergewöhnlichen Haus sehr genossen.”

“Ons verblijf was heerlijk. Alessandro en zijn vrouw vangen je vriendelijk op en wanneer er iets is, kan je altijd even contact opnemen. Villa el Macine is een heerlijk, ruim huis met een prachtige tuin en prive zwembad. We hebben enorm genoten van de omgeving. Het enige nadeel (en voor de rust een voordeel) dat alles wat je wil ondernemen om een rit met de auto vraagt. Al is Volterra absoluut het bezichtigen waard en kan je daar heerlijk uit eten gaan. ”

“Wonderful stay here. View from garden is beautiful over rolling hills for sunsets. Pool is magnificent and set on ridge with 270 degree views, quite something in the evening. Pool and tennis shared with 3-4 other families but pool is big enough to cope with that. Fans in rooms just about make up for no air con, was 37 when we were there. Communication with Ian and Jacky was great. 5-10mins drive up unmade road very dusty but not too bumpy. Serena cooked for us one night which was really good.……

“A fantastic, beautiful location to explore San Gim and surrounds. We were warmly greeted on arrival by Laura & Andrea with a glass of their excellent wine. The apartments are spacious and well appointed. Pool area is lovely. Breakfast is fab! The walks around the vineyards are lovely and our dog loved being there. Wine tasting is a must!”
