“My 8yr old son and I were in town for one night and needed a place to stay. Found the Blank Slate bus and jumped on it, AFTER reading all of the details. We could not have had more fun! Everything was tidy and clean. Having most of our camping supplies, we were over prepared. Once we got settled in for the night, it was all we needed. Waking up in a forest but only a few miles from civilization was a plus.Could not recommend more! It was lovely.”

“Staying at the Tranquil Retreat has been so much nicer than staying at a hotel. Plenty of space for 3 adults and we really appreciated the upgraded amenities, including the wonderfully comfortable beds. Great, well stocked kitchen, very easy to prepare a meal and nice to have a washer and dryer. This is our second stay here to visit our daughter, and we will certainly be back.”

“Each of us, ranging ages 10-50, enjoyed our family time at this home. It is so close to Virginia Tech. It’s tucked in a cute hilly well maintained neighborhood. The check-in process was very easy. The home felt brand new! It wa so clean and welcoming! The features and kid things were so great! We’d definitely stay here again! Thank you for this great place and chance to see our sophomore over family weekend! ”

“Dog friendly, fenced yard. Nature lovers paradise. Darling property a stone’s throw from downtown Blacksburg and VT. No a/c meant windows open and the neighborhood noise was significant. Made it a bit hard to sleep. No TV. Parrots/fish on property / parrots are also loud. Owner warned us and offered to take them but I wasn’t clear about the situation, so I didn’t ask them to take them. My fault. 3 bedroom with interesting decor. ”

“A peaceful retreat, perfect for stargazing, sitting around a fire pit and getting away from “the noise”. RV was clean & comfortable. Private, outdoor shower is a nice, roomy addition! John is an excellent host that communicates readily. ”

“Tyler's weekend "wee" treat was an adorable little tiny house that was the perfect stay for a few nights. The tiny house looked exactly like the photos, and was on a very quiet dead-end road. It was a beautiful drive to get here! Since I was in the area for work, a basic kitchen and solid Wi-Fi were must-haves, and the tiny house did not disappoint. I was by myself, but you could comfortably fit two people. I'll be looking forward to staying here again the next time I'm in town! ”

“Very clean. Very quiet. The cabin was as described. This place is very secluded. You have to travel 5-10 minutes on gravel roads to get there. Or 30 minutes if your gps takes you in the wrong direction ( happened twice to us!). Everything about the place itself was great.”
