“This was our first trip to the UP and with 3 kids and a large dog, we don’t travel light. “Absolutely loved this spot. The inside was even better than expected - cozy and clean. Fam of 5 plus our dog did just fine space wise. Super quiet little cluster of river houses, great pizza and pasty place and a convenient store just up the road, kayak rental people practically within shouting distance, and tons to do within a short drive. We loved it!”

"The first night I was arranged to stay behind the elevator, which made me feel uncomfortable and vibrated. Because it was a standard double room with two beds, it was better for me to sleep in the other bed. Since I had placed two reservations, the girl at the front desk said that I had to move to the room downstairs for the second night. I said it was inconvenient, and she said there was no other way because the room was fully booked. The next day I asked another woman if I could not move to the first floor, and she said yes. I checked and found that the room rate I paid to Expedia for the second night was more expensive than the first night. Why did the hotel move me to a pet-friendly room on the first floor? It would be very inconvenient for me to move back and forth, which would affect my schedule."
