Comfortable remodeled apartment with a strong Christian theme throughout the decor. The space itself is cozy and clean, but prospective guests should be aware of several things: 1) the building is older, and noise from the upstairs unit is very noticeable. We could hear everything happening above us; 2) parking is on-street, which isn’t mentioned in the listing. The road is narrow and busy, with cars often speeding past at 40 mph (my truck would shake when I was sitting in it and people drove by closely); 3) while the listing describes a quiet setting, our experience was different. The first night was disrupted by frequent car alarms (30 of them) which provided us little sleep for the following days activities, and the following evening included late-night loud partying from next-door neighbors (adjacent to the bedroom). This isn’t something the host can control, but it’s worth noting that the neighborhood is densely packed and may not offer the peace and quiet some travelers are looking for; 4) communication with the host was difficult. We never received responses when asking questions three days before booking. Once booked it took over a day to receive a response for basic questions, and check-in instructions arrived less than a day before arrival. Overall, the apartment itself is nicely updated and could be a good fit for travelers who are comfortable with noise and street parking. Just be sure to manage expectations around the environment and communication.
