The hotel is very close to the train station and the city center. Our hotel room was very spacious with coffee maker n small snacks. Hotel room is sparkling clean and the bathroom is way big. We will book this hotel again. Anna was sweet and very pleasant, she rendered excellent service for our stay.

I was misled to believe that The Port Inn was a small hotel and it is NOT or a bed and breakfast. It is basically a converted apartment space into three bedrooms with a common area. It is located in a residential apartment building. The accommodation is NOT staffed at all, which I didn't learn until a couple of days before arrival. Anna was very friendly and helped book a pick up from the airport. She also was there to meet us and help with luggage. The pictures on the listing are definitely enhanced. The room was clean, efficient and suited us for two nights before our cruise. There is no breakfast in the traditional sense of the word. She provides cellophaned buns and crackers with kettle for tea and coffee maker. The place is also located across the street from the train which can be noisy for light sleepers. It is well located and close to everything. Considering what we paid for two nights, I was expecting a little nicer place and we were charged an additional 40 Euros for a 10 minute drive to the Port. I think that the description of this property on Expedia does not qualify as a 'hotel' and it is more along the lines of a room in a shared accommodation scenario. I wish that I had read more reviews before booking. Breakfast definitely needs to be omitted in the description. I would not stay here again or recommend it.

Not too far from train. 6 euros/pp from train station to the cruise easy and straightforward. Stayed one night for cruise. Anna the owner was nice but not communicating well. 15 minutes before arrival we text her but she didn’t come until we called later. No hot water from sink faucet also no response. Next door guest had same problem.

Only 2 issues, well, ok, 2 1/2. The building is right across the street from the train tracks. I’m not accustomed to hearing trains round the clock. Their brakes squeal, and they are pretty noisy. The windows are not that soundproofed. Speaking of windows, the window only has a sheer curtain. Morning sun came early, and the concern of shadows being seen from the street was with me. Lastly, the coffee machine in the room. I know to run water through it before ever using it to make coffee. This machine was dirty. I did not get to enjoy my morning coffee. Anna, the owner, is amazing! Friendly, going out of her way to make sure all is good. She assisted me with my luggage up the small elevator. She arranged for a driver to pick me up at the airport. She even used her own car to take myself and other guests to the ship the next morning. The towels were large and soft. The bed was not the worst but probably a higher European quality. Out the door around the corner and 2 blocks down is an alley way with multiple restaurants. Easy to get to. And I found a small market where I could buy a phone charger since the one I brought would not work. I would consider staying here again if I were to be cruising out of Civitavecchia in the future.

We stayed here the night before our cruise. It is is in a very central location for restaurants, as well as shopping and touring around. The room was very clean and stocked with everything you could need. Would stay here again for sure!!!!

The room and bathroom were clean and neat. While not a luxury property, it was fine for a night. Restaurants were close and our landlady was lovely. She drove us to the cruise terminal the following day. I would recommend this property especially if you want to stay overnight before your cruise. She can even arrange a transfer from the Rome airport at a rate that's more reasonable and more direct than other transportation options
