“We had a fantastic stay at The Happy Traveler – Cabin at Starved Rock State Park. Nicole, the owner, was incredibly friendly and very responsive throughout the booking process. Her emails about our arrival and departure were clear, helpful, and made everything feel smooth and easy.The cabin itself was spotless and comfortable, and the North woods vibe really stood out. You can tell there’s real attention to detail in the way it’s decorated—cozy, warm, and perfectly suited to the Starved Rock……

“Great place to stay!! We walked to multiple bars/restaurants, stores, and activities. Parked the truck when we got there and didn't need it until it was time to go home. Keep in mind you'll need to navigate plenty of stairs, but so quiet and relaxing being elevated above the busy street activities below. Easy check in, super clean, plenty of kitcken gadgets and linens. ”
