From the moment we arrived, everything was amazing - finding the hotel was easy, and parking was readily available. The staff were so warm and kind. The room was beautiful, and spacious! The views can't be beat. We enjoyed having our coffee on the back patio overlooking the plains and the mountains in the distance. There is also a small, but impressive, art gallery within the hotel lobby that sells beautiful Native art. Breakfast each day was above and beyond what you expect for a continental breakfast. This is chef-quality food! I especially appreciated that there was a vegan option each day, and almond milk for my coffee! The location is also fantastic - about 20 minutes from Sedona, 15 minutes from Jerome, and 2.5 hours to Grand Canyon. It was a perfect central location for our mini-excursions and daytrips. It's also right next door to the Tuzigoot National Monument (1,000 year old ruins) - very cool! We parked along the entrance road one night for some stargazing. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to just hang out at the hotel.I highly recommend Taawaki Inn! We look forward to coming back in the future.

Rooms are spacious. Free parking is available around the property. There is a small fitness room and outdoor patio overlooking the canyon. Friendly staff. Super close to Verde Canyon Railroad and the Tuzigoot National Monument. We booked two rooms. Only concern is that they had not emptied out the trash cans in one room and the eco friendly shampoo and conditioner attached to the shower wall were nearly empty so we were unable to pump any to use in the other room. Breakfast was fine!

The breakfast was fresh and wonderful every morning. Parking was ample and well-lit. The back patio was lovely and very relaxing. The rooms were spacious and everything was very clean. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. We’ll go back!

The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Sandy, at the reception desk, even spent time with us to map out trails and intersting places to visit. This was especially appreciated as my husband has some physical challenges.

Everything was excellent . From the time we walked into Taawaki Inn, throughout our stay; The Inn is Beautiful and very well maintained. staff, and the breakfast service was excellent and delicious. We were close to all the national parks within a half hour distance. With wonderful views all around. A must stay. We will be back again.

The inn had wonderful appointments. However the minimalist decor of our room created a uncomfortable noisy environment. The very loud bathroom fan intolerable. It turned on with the main bathroom switch. If you got up in the middle of the night you would surely awaken your partner when you turned the bathroom light on. Our voices echoed in the room, there is no sound absorption.

Fabulous breakfast everyday- one of the best free breakfasts at a hotel we have experienced and the staff was wonderful. Scrumptious homemade chocolate chip cookies were out everyday. Room was very spacious and we liked our sunrise view. Didn’t discover the robes until the day we left which was a bummer. Perhaps a mention at check in would be helpful. We enjoyed being away from the crowds of Sedona and still having food choices in Cottonwood.

The location was so close to many interesting and fun things to see and do. The view to the east in the morning was amazing and the sunset from the west over the mountain was beautiful. Our room was comfortable and quiet. All the staff that we talked with were very friendly and helpful. The gift gallery had amazing, beautiful local art for sale.

The location is very quiet and the scenery is beautiful. The breakfast is freshly made. The rooms are large and attractive The property is clean and in excellent repair. The only issue is that there is not enough light in the room to read.

This is a beautiful hotel owned by Hopi Tribe. There is a gallery and many beautiful paintings, pottery and kachina dolls in the decor. Registration is very welcoming, soft music, coffee or cold water, cookies and friendly staff. Shout out to Alice and Deb who we saw the most but others also very nice. Plenty of parking. Outdoor seating and fire pits, beautiful place to enjoy a sunrise or later have a glass of wine. Breakfast is spectacular - shoutout to Anne and Sean who make Hopi stew, blue corn cakes, pastries, breakfast burritos and more. Great coffee, juices, yogurt, fruit. Very filling and delicious. The area is full of things to see and do. Tuzigoot Monument, Verde Valley Railway, Jerome, Deadhorse Ranch State Park, Sedona. We made many day trips from here. Rooms are large, clean, bathrooms beautiful and super clean, microwave, fridge, coffeemaker, safe, robes, fluffy towels, big screen TV. Cleaning staff is efficient and excellent and always asking how they can help. Elevator. Everything about this hidden gem in 5 stars. We highly recommend.

We stayed at this hotel because it was recommended by Expedia during our Sedona AZ trip. Initially I was a little apprehensive since it was about 26 miles away from Sedona. But OMG what a gem in the desert just outside of Cottonwood AZ. It was beautifully decorated with Native American artwork and even had a Native American artisan gift shop. The lobby was gorgeous with comfy furniture and tastefully appointed decor. The firepits and comfortable furniture on the patio were just what we needed after a long day driving and touring around Sedona. The room was very spacious and very clean. Only thing that they could improve on in the room was maybe add an additional comfy chair as only one chair was available for two guests and there is plenty of room to provide two. Also they ran out of bar soap for the rooms so that was a little unusual but not a huge issue. Used shower gel at the sink for soap. Breakfast was unbelievable considering it was labeled “continental”. It included a warm vegan Hopi stew that was delicious with a jalepeno corn cake to place on top. Also had warm sausage and cheese biscuits, muffins, fruit, yogurt, coffee and juices. It was all beautifully presented on an easily accessible bar. The staff and management were all extremely friendly. Would definitely come back again and stay for longer and spend more time hiking in the area and explore Cottonwood — a quaint little town with shops, bars / restaurants to try.

Our trip to Taawaki and Clarkdale was excellent. Began with our greeting and the hospitality shown us when we arrived. The hotel lobby and the view from the back patio are exceptional. The room was very comfortable and we both slept well on the comfortable bed. Breakfast was also a treat with various pastries, an egg dish, coffee and juice and a Native American dish that was very good. Would definitely stay again.
