Everything was perfect ! Under 15 minutes to anything ! ! ! The house was very welcoming ! Had deer walk through the front as we were bringing our luggage in. Firepit was set up when we got there. Gas fireplace in livingroom really set our evenings.
Far enough off the road to be quiet but close enough to everything we wanted to do.Comfy beds, cozy living space, relaxing hot tub, and fire pit with hammock.A great spot for our weekend getaway.Thank you for sharing your space with us!!
We had a great stay at this cabin in Clarksville, outside of Helen. The owners were quick to reply and fix the hot tub when it wasn’t warming. The house met our needs for a family gathering in the woods with beautiful views of the stars at night.
Everything was perfect for a little getaway! Even got to enjoy the sight of some deer in the yard. Very close to Helen and other restaurants/other sights.
It was a little tricky to find, definitely rely on the email instructions over your GPS. The secluded location in the woods was very peaceful and it's only a short drive to Helen and all it has to offer.
We loved the size and the location. It was like a 20 minute drive to everywhere we wanted to go. The only minor inconveniences were with the driveway/parking situation and cleaning. The driveway is not very wide, and if we had taken one of our sedans instead of a truck, I don’t know that we would have made it up. there is a flat spot to park so parking is fine once you get up, but only for one vehicle. The house was clean, with the exception of a few sticky spots on the table and the hot tub. We did not use the hot tub as we had planned multiple outings anyway, and the table was fine after a quick wipe down. The beds were comfortable, we had all we needed as far as dishes and such, and we enjoyed ourselves!
The property was very close to Helen and down the road from the old sautée store. The property owner was very attentive to any concerns we had and addressed them immediately. Hot tub was large and nice to sit in at night. Thank you for sharing your second home with us.Thank
I’m from Georgia and went home for a weekend and it was perfect! They provide a fully stocked cabin, comfy beds, enough room for the entire family or a large group of friends, private yet close to everything! The only thing I would suggest is getting there, the address doesn’t show up for the cabin on GPS, but there is a gravel company at the bottom of the hill on the main road that if you gos that, no issues every time getting there. Would stay again and again!
The cabin was clean and well stocked. The main living and kitchen areas were nice and had enough room. The bathrooms were tiny, but well stocked. It was definitely an older property but generally was well maintained with only a few slught issues.
Dog friendly which was fantastic! Two very close restaurants that were good and also dog friendly! The firepit was fantastic! The only issue I had was how uncomfortable the beds were. I ended up sleeping in the recliner every night. If they replaced those mattresses this place would be 5 star!
We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin. It was exactly as advertised. The owners were easy to communicate with. It was in a very quiet and peaceful location. It was very well stocked. We were within an hr drive of several towns. We love antique shops. The town of Helen was wonderful for Christmas. All of the lights and German atmosphere was great. Lots of great food and restueanfs.
If you or anyone in your party are of a larger stature, this home will not be comfortable for you. The downstairs bathroom potty could only be used by my grandchildren. So you will have to “handle business” in the loft bathroom but shower in the downstairs bathroom. All 3 mattresses were not very thick and on plywood so it was not a very restful sleep. Jets only worked on one side of the hot tub but was a great feature to help relax. And the grill!! The grill was freaking awesome!! It looked like a Chevy small block!!Overall, The home was super cute and clean. I was hoping it would be decorated for Christmas but it wasn’t, but that’s ok.

One and Done
Beautiful cabin, from the outside. Once inside, you see the difference. The bed slept great, in cool weather. The fireplace worked great, for one night. The chair sat well, the couch did not unless you lay on it to watch TV. Hopefully, no one has to do a #2 downstairs as the toilet is uncomfortable and had to remove the paper roll just to sit as it was so tight. It flushes when it wants to flush. The toilet up the 13 stairs is magnificent. We've been to a lot of VRBO's but with this 1, it's one and done. And it takes a while to figure out how to work the TV, but we did and had to use our own Netflix. It was a like a puzzle hunt finding the key even though we had an LED light as we arrived there in the dark. Good luck, we won't be back. It's one and done for us, we'll use another VRBO somewhere else.
It was a very charming cabin. Pretty and clean, standard mountain cabin home. Convenient to town with a dollar general nearby. Host was responsive.
Quaint but small. Porches do not connect.
Most will have a hard time using downstairs toilet, if you need to spread your knees, forget it. The space is just wide enough for the toilet. Walls on both sides.
If you are not accustomed to Old School TV surround sound video setup then the media in the living room could be challenging. The thermostat needs reprogramming or constantly monitored, otherwise you'll wake up overly hot and nauseous to the cabin being 93 degrees which was not pleasant at all and if you have sensitivity to allergies, this may not be your first choice because I did have some itchy eyes and other irritation to the cabin that immediately went away once I went outside. Note that there are neighbors to the right and what appeared to be another rental property within 75 feet of the cabin.
With that being said for the price for the location for the view for the privacy and for the purpose of simply getting away from it all to have some time to spend with your special person, that's in a secluded area, the cabin served it's purpose for my husband and I during the week that we stayed there.
This was a good vacation spot to stay in. It was quiet and peaceful. My wife and I hope to rent again. 9 miles from beautiful Helen, GA, and 2 miles from Clarksville proper.
The house is a little buried in the woods at the end of a loose gravel road, so be a little careful because you will be going uphill a little bit. Convenient gas station advertised the main road, a long with a delicious Sautee Trail Cafe near by which has many options. Neighbors didn't seem to bother our stay. Our host was super responsive to questions and inquires about the property, and on the first day of our stay the host let us randomly pay for an additional day extension. The lodging was comfortable and friendly on the inside, and very woodsy and free on the outside. Being surrounded by nature has a price, so don't be surprised by animal sounds in the dark. My wife and i used their hot tub, which was nice, and used their custom propane grill which was unique. 3 sides of house had spot lights for the night time with a fourth that needed repaired or replacement bulbs. Didn't use the fire pit at all but looked like a good spot for people to hang around, but do keep down a lot of noise because the neighbors are about a fifty yards away. When walking in the dark, be aware of a few spider webs... not a big deal if you are a boy scout.or camper, but don't be surprised and complain because that's nature. I will definitely recommend this place, and plan to stay again.
Was a wonderful home to stay in. Just as described. We enjoyed our stay for my daughter’s wedding. Very close to her home and venue. Will definitely stay again
