"This was our second stay at this cabin and we can’t wait to go back. The cabin is close to everything and not too far from the casino. The cabin itself is super clean the beds are so comfortable. Cabin is large in size and very nicely decorated. The hot tub was fantastic in perfect working order. I can’t say enough about the fire pit. We sat by it every night. We didn’t see any deer this time but saw squirrels. The cabin had everything we needed inside and out. Plenty of supplies. The owners are very helpful and communication is great. Very nice people. Overall stay… A. Can’t wait to return."

"It is a beautiful, serene home with plenty of amenities and spots for relaxation. Close to John Campbell Folk School, it afforded me an opportunity to take a class while my husband took advantage of the many well kept hiking trails in the parks close to Brasstown. He and our dogs, who were welcome in the cabin, had lots of fun taking in the beauty of North Carolina’s stunning beauty. This impeccable home was a joy for all."

"Secluded getaway. Very clean and nice. Host was easy to get ahold of and responsive to any concerns. The road to get to the cabin was steep and a little intimidating for someone from the Illinois prairie. But, I got the hang of it. "

"We had an incredible stay at the “Almost Heaven” cabin in Murphy, North Carolina. From the moment we arrived, what stood out most was how peaceful and secluded the property felt while still being just a short drive from town. The cabin was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had that authentic mountain-cabin charm without sacrificing modern comforts.The views were absolutely stunning — whether we were enjoying coffee on the porch in the morning or unwinding in the evening, the scenery really made the experience special. The interior was cozy and thoughtfully decorated, and the owners clearly put a lot of care into making sure guests feel at home. The kitchen was well-stocked, the beds were comfortable, and every detail felt intentional.Another highlight was the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. If you're looking to disconnect, recharge, and enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains, this place hits the mark. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would absolutely recommend “Almost Heaven” to anyone visiting the Murphy area. We’re already looking forward to coming back!"
