Morning Star Cottage

Charming cottage nestled in the heart of Clayton Ny, in the Thousand Islands. Voted one of the coolest small towns in North America, the cottage is now open for your vacationing pleasure.

Just one block from the majestic St.Lawrence river and walking distance from the Antique Boat Museum. There are many shops, restaurants and marinas to choose from. By the way, Clayton is located between scenic Cape Vincent and Alexandria Bay.

If you get tired of shopping, the fishing is great as well--, located near French creek and Frink park where you can fish from the wall or bring your boat and use the ramp by the Antique Boat Museum. Why not see a performance at the Clayton Opera House while you're in Clayton.

This is a quaint older home in an excellent location in Clayton. You can actually see the Antique Boat Museum from the front yard. Off street parking. The host was responsive and easy to work with. Home had everything essential we needed for our 4 day stay. Appreciated laundry, 2 bedrooms, cleanliness, tissues, chairs in bedrooms, comfy sheets, etc etc. Pet friendly !

The photos are accurate as far as descriptions but cottage is much larger than it appears in photos. It was immaculate kitchen well equipped even had extras such as spices coffee honey etc which I ve never seen in past units I have booked Bedrooms roomy additional linen available AC which was a blessing. Washer and dryer available but we didn’t use owner Kathy is a gem. Her home is on property but she is unobtrusive. Thoroughly enjoyed the front porch table with umbrella. Travelled with pets and when Kathy noticed I was trying to barricade them on porch she nicely provided a gate. Location is within walking distance to shops etc great brewery steps away Check in was a breeze as we received instructions prior to our arrival Of note if you need to have use of pullout couch there is an extra fee Wi-Fi and roku tv perfect. You will not be disappointed if you book this units

Great place to stay

Good location for a stay in Clayton NY. Stayed there from a week of fishing and it is conveniently located walking distance from the municipal boat ramp that has no parking. The host was awesome and made the stay very enjoyable. Will stay there again.

Lovely Clayton Getaway

We very much enjoyed our stay in Kathy's cottage. The location was perfect, we could see the river right from the yard, and the property is within easy walking distance to restaurants, the shops, the riverside parks and the boat museum. The property is clean and nicely appointed. The furnishings were charming and we enjoyed the porch with the umbrella table. The kitchen is stocked with the necessary utensils, dishes and pots. Kathy is a warm and welcoming host who gave us our privacy. We would definitely return!

Perfect Stay

Great little cottage located within easy walking distance to everything in Clayton. Beautiful sunset views from the pier just a block away and lovely views of bunnies hopping about in the garden from the kitchen window! Host is warm and welcoming. We hope to be back!

Morning Star Cottage was just what we needed for a long term stay. I have to say that the bathtub was wonderful! The location is perfect being an easy walk to the Antique Wooden Boat Museum and downtown Clayton. Our host was attentive to just the right degree. We would definitely stay there again.

Best way to describe this cozy little place. We've stayed before & will book, again, next time we travel to Clayton. In fact, we won't travel to Clayton unless we can stay here. It's completely charming, close to the Boat Museum, an easy walk to the central shopping/eating area, and a long stone's throw to The River. Communication with the landlady is easy & thorough. Parking is a breeze. All photos posted are accurate & true. It's a charmer!

Nice chill spot

Cute cozy cottage behind the main house, private driveway, very safe and secure area. Walking distance to most places, can hear a pin drop outside after 7pm. Owner and neighbors very pleasant :-) would stay again next year

Perfect Vacation Cottage

This is the second time I have stayed at Morning Star Cottage and it was perfect for my needs. Very clean and spacious. It is close to the town dock, so very convenient for boaters.
