"It was nice to have an ocean view room. I did book one of the recently remodeled king rooms. The one they had me check into was totally old and outdated. Staff had mentioned that you don’t always get what you book on Expedia. The restaurant served their free breakfast which was almost room temperature eggs, potatoes and bacon, The ocean view from the restaurant was beautiful though. Good location and the beach was just a quick drive or many stairs from the resort to the beach."

"We had a king fireplace suite. The historic lodge was really cool. The property itself is very cool, with the lake right outside. The grass was done really nice and we were able to walk down to see the lake. Overall I really enjoyed this stay and wish I would of skipped the other place we stayed at the night before. This hotel, property and setting overall was awesome."

"A peaceful lakeside retreat we can’t wait to return to!We had a wonderful weekend at this cabin. It was roomy and comfortable, and spotlessly clean when we arrived. The setting is truly relaxing: the view is amazing, and having direct lake access made it easy to slow down and enjoy every moment.The canoes and kayaks were a highlight. Paddling out on the lake was so much fun and a great way to explore. The kitchen was also very usable and stocked with everything we needed, so cooking was easy and enjoyable.The nature viewing was incredible. We spotted loons, otters, eagles, geese, deer, kingfishers, and even trout in the water. It felt like having a front-row seat to the wildlife all weekend.We will definitely be back, and next time we’re bringing our teenagers along. They’re going to love it as much as we did. Highly recommend!"

"This is a great place to stay if you want to be away from it all. It is about a 20 minute drive to town (Forks) so if traveling south to get there be sure to stop for gas and groceries before you arrive. There is a local bar about 10 minutes away that has pretty good burgers. After checking out the place my husband asked if we kicked someone out of their home because it is stocked to the T. Games, DVDs and all the supplies you could need in the case of power outage, which we did not have. The path on the property just off the house was awesome. Almost don't even need to go into the rainforest park because its all right there in the yard. There are several paths so it can be a very short walk or doing the whole set is probably just under a mile. There are cute little painted rocks along the path as well as signs so no way you could possibly get lost. We have never stayed at a place where the owner was also on the property so seemed a bit odd when she came out as we were closing the gate behind us on arrival. But it was great meeting the sweet little lady. And she did provide some info that was good to know. The only issue we had was with the twin bed closest to the door. It was comfortable but for some reason the head of the bed was slightly higher than the feet so I kept very slowly sliding downward. I would definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area."

"I was very happy with the accommodations overall. Everything was nicely updated. Unfortunately the fireplace was not working but it wasn't a huge deal. The view, access and proximity to the ocean was great. The downstairs bedroom had a bit of a damp smell. The upstairs deck was nice with a very decent view, barbecue and fire table that were great. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. People I had contact with were very friendly. Truly a hidden treasure."
