The room was fine for the price. It is a little outdated and the walls were scuffed up/paint was chipping. I didn't use the kitchen so I can't speak on that. Things seemed clean enough, but certainly not great. During my second night the fire alarm in the building went off. Another guest had burnt food, and smoke was seeping out of their door. The alarm continued for a good 30-40 minutes. The staff did not respond to this, and it took other guests calling the fire department to get someone to come out. The entire floor smelled like smoke for the rest of the night - I even noticed it on my belongings upon returning home. During check out the next morning, the staff did not even acknowledge this or apologize for the inconvenience. I wasn't expecting a refund, and understand the situation was out of their control, but due to their overall lack of concern, I wouldn't stay here again.

The room I was in had a strange smell. Not sure if it was mold or something else. I had to open the windows and turn on the heat to help neutralize the odor. The breakfast they supplied was just sugary snacks wrapped in plastic. Nothing hot.

Or stay was a nightmare as soon as we walked in the room smelled as if somebody’s been cooking frying food and it was embedded into the carpet, etc. bedspread had blood stains on both beds, half ass job on cleaning the room crumbs everywhere hair in the bathroom everywhere the carpet felt like something gross and sticky or was on it dog poop and food all up and down the hallway stairs. Idiot was cooking at 1 AM in the morning and let off the fire alarm in the whole hotel, which took over a half an hour to turn off did not get much sleep at all.

The air conditioner works, the lights worked. No pots and pans for cooking in the room. Told them about that and they said did you look under the sink? What a bunch of condescending people. I looked in every cabinet, I told the arrogant person at the desk and he asked if I looked in a certain cabinet. No pots and pans for 2 days. He brought some to the check in desk and expected me to take them to my room. I told him to take the pots and pans to the room, I said it was his job. He said they would be at the check in desk. Bottom line, I had no pots and pans the entire time. That person that ran the place was rude. The silverware was stained and pitted. The coffee maker was a joke. There was water in it for from who knows when. It was slimy under neath. I would never stay there again. I told the person I would leave if I could get a refund, he said he couldn't do that. So instead of making my own breakfast, I had to go out to eat. The glasses were all water stained and looked like they needed washing. The bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan, if it did, it was non operational. The entire bathroom was a steamhouse. I'd rather stay at a freeway underpass than stay at the Main Stay hotel.

Infested with ants in kitchen & Bathroom. Told front desk never sent someone up to look at . When having kitchens and people are cooking, housekeepers should do extra cleaning for that case.

The hotel is not fully modern but the rooms is clean the kitchen just needs more utensils like spoon forks and a cutting board other than that it’s ok the air conditioner works well had no problems the staff some of them don’t understand much English but enough to get the point across at times but they are very nice people working Thare I would definitely recommend it
