We needed a basic hotel room to stay for R&R 12 hours on a long cross country treck, and this was perfect. It was not on the freeway, so very quiet,downtown Colby, a small rural town. We backed the car to within 10 feet of the door to the one story U-shaped complex, so we could easily get our overnight stuff into the room in minutes. The room was very clean, smelled good and was cozy. This is an older hotel building, but very well maintained (the parking lot is a little rough, but they do get wind just about constantly). The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot and good water pressure in the older enameled tub. They had a breakfast kind of like to-go. As it is not a huge hotel, there was not food "station", but everything we needed for a quick bite before hitting the road. There is a wall mounted AC/Heat unit with remote, very quiet, came on and off during the night. Good size fridge, smaller size tv with remote, no alarm clock, but we have one in our travel bags at all times. Would stay here again if we ever have to cross country again.

It’s a poorly updated something or other, The bathtub has been painted, but is slippery as all get out. The TV wouldn’t turn off had to unplug it from the ceiling, the bathroom light is cut through the wall into the closet area The heaters way up high and you have to turn it up to about 80 to almost stay warm The $36 was good but the 20 they tacked on wasn’t

1) Note that there is no coffee or coffee pot (or cups); perhaps can "create" some using the microwave - kinda unusual exclusion... 2) A/C - Heating unit is mounted high up on back wall of unit, had to climb up on a chair to see and turn it on (not exactly simple for a senior to perform this balancing act) But it "does" have direct outside access to our vehicle, a really helpful convenience nowadays

The important things for a short stay were in place: room, bedding and bathroom were clean; bed was comfortable; heat-A/C unit & TV worked; breakfast was comparable to continental breakfast at Comfort Inn/Quality Inn-type hotels; staff was friendly and accommodating. However, this was a run-down building when the current owners bought it a year or so ago, and while they have been able to remodel/upgrade many of the units so far, it is still a work in progress.

Worst hotel ever. It smelled, the room was filthy. Air conditioner was so high on the wall that we couldn't reach it. Bathroom was tiny and really dirty. The concrete was all broken making it dangerous to walk. I made them give me a refund and we left.

Bed bugs! Disgusting, filthy place! The description said they had EV charging hookups. When I asked the manager about that, he pointed at a wall outlet and said I was welcome to charge from my room. (I think Hotels.com has removed the EV chargepoint from the property description since then.) But that's nothing compared to waking up covered in bug bites and finding the bed infested with bedbugs! The manager wouldn't even acknowledge me when I complained. (Ultimately, my Visa company got me a refund.) The place is disgusting. The management is rude. Do not stay at thia place!
The breakfast area when we were leaving in the morning. Notice what's not there: breakfast! (Not that I would have trusted this filthy hole to feed me.)

I was first put into a room that had a refrigerator full of someones food. Then they moved me into another room. The bathroom had grungy grout and the curtains had cigarette burn holes in them. The ice machine was some rinky dink machine sitting outside on an end table. Ill probably spend a little more $$ and stay somewhere else next time.
