The property manager accomodated our request for contactless check-in/checkout. Alternatively, guests arriving to Colico by train would have a lengthy and time-consuming process for both check-in and check-out. The town of Colico and the town of Dervio - the location of the property manager - are about 5-miles apart. The train does NOT stop in Dervio before the train arrives in Colico. Both towns are on separate train schedules. The location of the property: less than 250 yards from Lake Como; and 2-blocks from an excellent small grocery store - La Gran Bottega to be perfect: quiet, easy access to restaurants, Lake Como's ferry terminal, Colico train station and area hiking and water sports. Be advised that there is only 1-roll of toilet paper supplied as the, "Welcome Gift!" When you're out, you will need to purchase 4-rolls at the grocery store. That's a rather silly cost-savings by the proprietor and an inconvenience for guests.
