The staff were excellent in customer care. My husband i thought the room was excellent. There is only one thing. I booked 319 for the view, but you have to go to the fourth floor by lift and walk two floor down by a spiral stair case down to the 3rd floor. With luggage it was something i never expected. Also we took a taxi from the railway station cost 20 euros and we could not get to hotel as its for walking only. So again we had to walk with luggage part of the way. Would i stay at the hotel again yes without luggage.

I foolishly posted a review of how badly management handled a temporary evacuation the day before we left. When we went to checkout the next morning the manager took one look at us and bolted out to the street without a word. We asked the clerk to call a taxi for us to go to the train station - we are in our seventies with leg and back problems and didn’t want to walk the six to eight blocks of cobblestone streets, all uphill. She picked up the phone and after a minute said the taxi would be three minutes. At the time I thought it strange because I hadn’t heard her say anything but chaulked it up to an error on my part. After waiting ten minutes we asked her to call again. She walked out of earshot and used her phone, coming back and saying the cab was on the way but stuck behind a loading truck a block away. We should just walk to the taxi. So we started. Before long it was clear there were no trucks blocking roads and no taxis coming. I realized after a block that taxis were not even allowed on those streets in the old town. So we walked all the way. Just like she intended. In forty years of travel in hundreds of hotels, that is the worst treatment I have ever been subject. The hotel is fine. Service, not so much. And if you ever have an issue where you want management help, forget it.

Das Hotel kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Die Lage ist natürlich TOP, man geht aus der Tür und ist sofort an der Rheinpromenade und vom Hbf geht man keine 10 Minuten. Erwähnenswert ist auch, dass trotz Buchung ohne Verpflegung bis 10.00 für jeden Gast Kaffee, Obst und kleine Gebäckteilchen zur Verfügung stehen.
