Steigenberger Hotel Köln
Tried to check in at 12.30pm and were told we couldn't access our rooms until 3pm. Which is super frustrating and there wasn't even any sense of empathy or apology for it. Did not have breakfast. But hotel was great, room size was great and able to hild bags after check in

Dorint Hotel am Heumarkt Köln
The hotel staff are efficient, welcoming and resourceful. Property could use an update, especially carpets in rooms. Hairdryer was sticky, scratched terribly and should be replaced!! Location is walkable to stores, restaurants, museums, galleries and the cathedral, which is fantastic.
