Colorado Springs Country Cottage

Our family had an excellent stay at this property. Everything was as promised, and it was an excellent place to share a home-cooked meal in a beautiful open-concept kitchen/dining area. Also close to a trail that goes by the Air Force Academy. Overall, excellent property!

Beautiful place to stay

This was a perfect place for me and my family to stay while visiting my son at the USAFA. The cottage was cozy/lovely. I personally Loved that there’s a running/waking trail right behind the house! Had an awesome stay and made very memorable memories-Thank you Tosha!

Happy Hideaway

Well-appointed cottage with warm spirit. Went to a prayer conference and loved coming ‘home’ to rest and regenerate. Would return any time in the area.

Great location for Colorado College

Exceptionally clean and a very welcoming host. We stayed on a visit to Colorado College with our daughter. Highly recommend it!

Cottage

The cottage was clean and comfortable. Very nice decorations. Great location for our numerous trips to the Air Force Academy. Comfortable beds. But to be perfectly honest, there were 2 big detractors that are not mentioned in the listing. The private concrete slab bridge over the raging creek has obviously broken at some point. We were assured it was safe and we did cross it numerous times in our car. Every time, though, we scraped the bottom, both front and back, no matter how slow we went. One time tore loose a piece of trim that had to be pushed away. The second detractor was the train tracks maybe 20 yards away. Trains went through several times a day, both day and night.

In Colorado to see family

Fully enjoyed the peaceful seclusion of the Cottage but also easy access to all things Colorado Springs! Enjoyed having family join us at the Cottage at times. Very restful with a super host Tosha!! She was always attentive to our needs! Hope we can stay there again!!

Lovely cottage

This cottage was perfect for us. Very close to everything we were doing, but with a country feel. Very quiet and the owners dog was a great surprise. The kitchen had everything we needed and the space was very comfortable

October stay at the cottage

My family and I had a wonderful stay here. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to do--seeing family in the Black Forrest area, Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, and was in a great location for easily getting to grocery stores. The house and property were beautiful, and the house was very comfortable and well appointed. The kids loved the property, as there was plenty of room for them to explore outside. They especially loved walking down to see the horse and the creek every day--and our frequent visits from a sweet calico kitten. Both also loved watching the trains go by (we didn't find the noise to be at all bothersome). We would definitely stay here again!

Odd location

It is quite the puzzle getting all the way back to this VRBO, unmarked while trying to follow very long instructions. Signs through the property and around other houses and old cars would be helpful. Great inside but odd to be in someone’s backyard so far from civilization (except for the train!).

What a great find!

Very clean and well appointed little house. Could not have asked for better! Spent 4 nights with our 2 granddaughters. Each had their own room and we all loved the place! Other reviewers complained about the trains even thought it’s disclosed in the listing. No train horns, just the clickity clack of the tracks as it went by. Close to everything but away from everything! What a great combo. I would not hesitate to recommend Tosha’s Country cottage! A lot of house for a little price. Thanks so much!

Wonderful stay

We very much enjoyed our stay in this quiet, quaint cottage home. It provided lovely walks, homey, ideal place to visit with our children over breakfasts, and comfortable beds awaiting us after days of sightseeing.

Amazing Location, Lovely Hosts

This cottage is located on a farm, right next to the Santa Fe hiking trail that leads to the Air Force Academy. There are also a couple of other great hikes right there, we did the one to the hoodoo rock formation visible from the property. Our teens loved it. This is a thoughtfully and beautifully, laid out cottage, on a property with the charming character.

Beautiful and convenient to everything

Tosha was such a gracious hostess. The communication and attention to detail was impeccable. The Cottage itself is like a page from a magazine it was close proximity to everything. We had a lovely stay!

Honest review

It was a beautiful home but the yard was overgrown and dog poop in the driveway. Listing did not disclose that a train was so close and the bridge on the driveway is caving in and dangerous to drive over. The house has really bad water pressure and taking showers was a huge issue. We had a great time overall and the host was nice and the house was nice. Their dog Sophia was a sweetie and we loved it when she came to visit.

Little piece of country close to the city!

This beautiful farm house was just perfect for my family! The beds were comfortable and the decorations are very inviting. The host was a great communicator who was very response and available when needed. My children loved the cows, horse, and chickens on the property down the street. Great stay! Highly recommend!
