  • The back view of Jeffrey Mansion in Bexley, OH. Over 100 years ago, Jeffrey Mansion was built as the residence of industrialist and early Columbus City Mayor Robert Jeffrey. Jeffrey served as mayor from 1903-1905 and willed his home to the city of Bexley in 1941. Today the mansion and surrounding grounds are a city park. There is a ghost story attached to the mansion stating that Jeffrey hung himself in his home before granting the city rights to his property. However, records list Jeffrey’s death occurring in October of 1961, a full 20 years after bestowing his home upon the city.

  • The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. It is named after Dr Edward Orton, Sr. who served as Ohio State's first president, OSU Professor of Geology from 1873 to 1899, and Ohio's State Geologist from 1882 until his death in 1899. Orton Hall is built of 40 different Ohio building stones. In the outside walls, these stones are laid in stratigraphic order according to their relative positions in Ohio's bedrock. The only non-indigenous to Ohio stone used is Indiana Limestone to build the front steps. It was chosen because of its high concentration of embedded fossils. The bell tower was dedicated in 1915 and contains 25,000 pounds of bells that can be heard regularly tolling across campus. Encircling the top of the tower are 24 columns with gargoyle-like figures which are restorations of fossil animals.

Great place at a very good price.

Very nice property. Very fresh, clean and comfortable. The beds are great. Off street parking was a real plus. Communication was very good. The price point was excellent. With family close by we will definitely be back.

Great place and very gracious host

Ado was very accommodating, very quick to respond and very gracious. We were in town for my wedding and my parents stayed at this VRBO. They thoroughly enjoyed it. Ado was helpful to even give us a late checkout.

Stayed during Home Renovation

This home was perfect for our family when we had to move out of our home during a renovation. It provided all the essentials that we needed and allowed for us to stay stress free, under a typically stressful situation. We are thankful that we found this charming property on short notice!

Couldn't have asked for anything better.

Couldn't have asked for anything better. We were just blocks away from my Mom's assisted living center and downtown Bexley's amenities. The apartment was spacious, clean, inviting and charming. we fell in love with the flamingo airstream 1940s art deco lamp!!! we appreciated off-street parking in the back and not having to keep track of keys. The price was right, too!

Great Place to Stay!

We were in Columbus for a 4 day music festival at Crew Stadium. The house is located close to the highway which made travel very easy, plus there were lots of places near the house to eat. The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked with the everything we may have needed and the host was very prompt in responding to any issues or questions we had. All in all it was a great place to stay.
