「We've stayed for a week at Doug and Lucy’s place in June 2025. We had a really great time, enjoyed everything. Mostly spent time on the lake - swimming, kayaking, fishing. Kids had fun at the beach and playgrounds at the Elrod Ferry Recreation Area, which is just a few minutes drive down the road. Groceries and shopping (Walmart and ALDI) are less than 10 minutes away. Overall, a very nicely located quiet place on the lake. Will definitely try to come back next year.」

「We were looking for a local pool house that we could spend a weekend with the kids. We found this great little paradise with a gorgeous pool. The landscaping is amazing with gorgeous flowers and and colors. The pool is very pretty with a deep blue bottom that just pops. The place itself has a couple of rooms and a bathroom and is very clean. There is only one TV in the living room so plan for that. The AC struggles with GA heat but that's understandable. There is a steep stairway to get to it...

「The house was perfect for a large family. There were 18 of us and we were all able to spread out and have our own privacy. The house is actually bigger than the pictures. We never felt cramped but were able to do so many activities simultaneously. The dock at the lake is also spacious and allowed us to fish, boat, swim and suntan all at the same time. I would highly recommend this property for large families. It is one of our best VRBO rental experiences ever.」

「Too expensive for a Weeks stay!」

「We were in the Athens to have the memorial service for my husband. Our family was able to comfortably stay at the Wexford place and have ample space and showers!! The location is ideal - close to just about anything you need in the Athens area. Such a grand, comfortable place. Teenagers loved playing football in the backyard and even took advantage of the warm temps to enjoy swimming in the pool.」

「We stayed 3 days with our 2 granddaughters and grandson who is a UGA student. The house is nicely updated and very roomy; I appreciated the beautiful master bathroom. 「Had an amazing time unplugging from the world and enjoying nature. Loved the short hikes to the lake, birdwatching during the day, lightning bugs at night, and the wide lawn for our pups. Be prepared to check for ticks daily!」
