The property and property owners were absolutely AMAZING! We planned on staying a couple of weeks and ended up staying 2 months! The experience was excellent and the facility is all that anyone could ask for! The rehouse and river are a delight! A BIG THANK YOU to the Hegeners, for their generosity and understanding!

My wife and I loved everything about this place! Coffee on the back porch overlooking the river was hands down our favorite! It was absolutely perfect for our little weekend getaway. Clean home, beautiful property, check in was as easy as it gets. Zero complaints whatsoever!

Long weekend on the river

Great time in Comfort on our second trip to this home. It was perfect for our family of three (plus one hound). We had a great time visiting the lovely state parks and towns nearby.

Absolutely beautiful!

Our stay was wonderful - from Stan’s greeting to the bottle of wine everything was above our expectations. The dogs enjoyed be able to roam without a leash and the backyard and amenities were just as stunning as the house. We are already looking forward to a return trip.

Loved this place!

Our stay was 2 nights with our daughter and her sweet family, which includes our small grandchildren. Everyone had such a great time! Their place was perfect for us! Clean, lots of room and beautiful scenery. Mr. Hegener is very nice and answered all my questions prior to arriving. Instructions were clear and his place is very nice.

Beautiful Property

We truly enjoyed this property! The farmhouse is so cute and very well put together. The house was clean and the house manager was so easy to work with! We will definitely try to stay here again on our next trip to comfort.

Family get away

Spring break for educators is important for recovery and Comfort Acres did just that! Our family with adult children and family dogs were extremely comfortable with the clean and secluded accommodations. Very inviting and welcoming hosts!

Excellent Stay!

Very impressed with the location and property. It has a remote feel, yet close enough to several amenities. We started our day antique shopping in Comfort and then had fun in Fredericksburg one day and chilling in the Guadalupe another day. Evenings spent grilling out and much laughter! Highly recommend this place!!!

An amazing spot on the river!

Stan’s place is absolutely wonderful! We came to the area to view the eclipse with our family from France, and were truly blown away by this beautiful spot. The setting is stunning, with beautiful open space along the river, wildlife, amazing wildflowers, and gorgeous scenery. The house itself is lovely-super spacious, very nicely remodeled, and very comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the Hill Country-it’s an easy drive to Kerrville, Fredericksburg, and San Antonio. There’s a market just 6 minutes down the road. Most of all, Stan was an incredibly welcoming and gracious host, and provided farm fresh eggs and wine as a welcome gift. We hope to return someday soon!!

A little piece of heaven in the middle of Texas

We came in town for a family wedding that was down the road in Center point and were excited to find this instead of dealing with a hotel. This is such a hidden gem and the pictures online do not do the house or the gorgeous property justice. The home has been beautifully remodeled. You can definitely see the care taken of the home and the grounds. After we got acquainted with the house we spent hours wandering around outside and down at the river. Our girls, who are 12 & 15, just roamed and enjoyed the out doors. They quickly requested to come back. The amenities in the house were great and all 6 of us were extremely comfortable. We received fresh eggs from their chickens which was really exciting to enjoy. Spring time is especially beautiful with the wildflowers in the front of the property and the back. Excellent communication with the owner/designee (Cruz). Thank you for sharing your lovely home and allowing us to travel with our 4-legged baby as well. We will be back!!!

Wonderful Place
