「Probably the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The showers did not work, the toilets did not flush, and we were unaware of that until after we used the toilets so the room smelled terrible. The rest of the evening because the toilet did not flush. I do not recommend going there. I called the front desk that morning and they were no help. I asked for a refund and they said a manager would be getting in contact with me today. I’ve yet to have a phone call from them zero out of 10 experience.」

「I stayed here after an assault, and despite my situation, they weren't even willing to extend my check out time by an hour. The family that runs this place isnt at all empathetic or even flexible.」

「Took 3 staff members, 2 hours to find my reservation, which was booked through the Home Office website. Parking is a joke. They took what used to be guest parking in the front and made the whole area very expensive valet parking. When you want your car the valet walks a few feet to get it, if you used self parking you have to walk a block and a half. Customer centered thinking suggests it should be the other way around. 「Tara ( front desk) and Rebecca ( in charge of breakfast and the room in which it’s served) were the most outstanding, efficient, kind workers I ever encountered in a hotel. I was welcomed with a cold drink and snack and a smile after a long trip. Rebecca prepared the best free breakfast any hotel has ever offered. 「I think it was circumstantial, but there was a group in the hotel that made my stay very unpleasant. Shared spaces were dominated by this group and they were generally rude. I was enroute to another city and have always enjoyed stopping in Charleston and staying at this hotel. However, this time was simply awful. I wasn't able to take advantage of the amenities, especially breakfast, so I just left as soon as I got up the next morning. Room was fine, clean, but my experience other than that...

「Staff was nice and helpful, location wasn't ideal but nice none the less. Loved their options on bathroom amenities and their pillows were so comfortable! The pool was nice but very humid inside. All around, I give it a 7/10」
