We loved the location of the cabin -- a private, scenic, secluded place to get away from the world. The amenities in the cabin, and some of the basic needs, however, were lacking. The only working source of heat came from a wood burning stove for which pine rounds had been provided, but not split for direct use in the stove. Although there were space heaters in several rooms, the ones in both upstairs bedrooms did not work. In order to have functioning heat, therefore, the fire had to be tended 24/7. Also, the second day we were in the cabin, the water stopped running which required us to drive toward town for cell service to contact the owner who talked us through how to hook it up again. The cabin had an 18" TV, very outdated/worn couches, and no extra cooking materials, for example a coffee maker, but no coffee. The tap water had a distinct, unpleasant sulfur smell.
