This is a lovely hotel with great rooms and friendly, helpful staff. I didn't eat there in the evening but breakfast was superb - although a 7.30 start is a bit later than I wanted. My biggest problem was the parking. There are 4 slots allocated to the hotel and they took a bit of finding! Take the first available (second) right after the hotel, right and right again. The marked slots are on the left just before you come back out onto the main road. Would I stay here again? If I was working in Constanta then yes. There's plenty of restaurants nearby and the beach is only a few metres away. It's about a 20 minute walk to the casino and the orthodox cathedral. All in all a great stay.

Hotel Cherica - Happy returns.
A great boutique hotel in the center of Constanta; in a walking distance to Old Town and beach. Excellet service. Restaurnats and pubs near by. Great I have been there before and I plan to revisit. What I can say more.

They categorized and labeled a regular hotel room as a suite,it has 37 square meters and is just a room with a small entry way. Their labeling is deceiving,I believe on purpose,in order to attract more business. The air conditioning did not work for one night and we couldn’t sleep in 90 degrees temperature. The street below is very noisy all the time. If you decide to book at this hotel you will kicking yourself for your mistake

Hotel Cherica is simply an amazing hotel. Its located in a very beautiful part of the city and right next to Neversea Beach. There are plenty of great restaurants and very close to shopping areas in Constanta. Easy location for ride-share pickups and drop-offs. I highly recommend it.

Amazing hotel in an old charming historic house. The hotel is very close to the beach (Modern beach), the Marina Port, ideal position for visiting the old city, historic area of Constanta, easy walk down to the promenade. Nice restaurant nearby with view of the beach and Black Sea, plenty things to do around the area. Free parking space (parking is in front of the hotel). Reception is opened nonstop so you can check-in or checkout all the time. The room was spacious with good facilities, comfortable and decorated with taste, good internet connection. We also have a couch in the room so you can relax or watch something on tv. Breakfast was adequate for our needs. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Highly recommended
Lovely accommodation 2 mins from Constanta beach and close to the old town. Our room had plenty of room with a desk and sofa. The en-suite contained everything that you could need (although I always bring my own conditioner)

Good choice
Very good service. Big room, nice atmosphere. Will be even better if the elevator will be faster and the bed will be bigger. When we stayed the breakfast was a la carte, very good.

I liked the character and cleanliness of the room but more importantly, the friendly staff. I didn’t like that the bath tub was clogged during the first morning of my stay and couldn’t take a proper shower. However, the staff did their best to fix it while I was out of the room. Also, unlike I’ve seen in the past, there was no one sitting near the door or parking lot to help out. That elevator would of course help so hopefully will be installed soon.

Our room was excellent. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. The breakfast at the Virgo restaurant was good, but the dinner was lacklustre. We had to eat in the smoking area of the restaurant. Can happily recommend this hotel otherwise.

Worth to stay if you prefer not chain hotels
Beach access nearby. Restaurant ok but music could be played less loudly. Breakfast a la carte starting at 7:30 can make morning delays if you are in hurry for a business. Noisy road on one side but not disturbing when windows are closed. Willing and friendly lady at the reception. A welcoming present, very nice.

Nice convenient hotel. Breakfast arrangements with Virgo cafe and Irish Pub were a little strange with it not entirely clear what was included. Room was great if a little small for a "junior suite" and kept very clean and nicely refreshed each day.

Historic hotel in a historic town!
The hotel was very pleasant and Constanta was fascinating - a contrast to Bucharest! We had a car and parking was just opposite the hotel. Staff were very helpful, especially carrying bags to our room - particularly useful as there is no lift. Breakfast is not the usual buffet style, and is individually ordered. This means it is very fresh but we had to wait a while for ours, and I noticed a lady on her own who only appeared to have ordered a croissant and cereal with fruit had to wait a long time.

Wonderful place to stay
A lovely hotel just outside the main tourist drag in Constanta, one short block from a swimming beach, & close to restaurants, ie, a terrific position. Hotel staff were immensely welcoming & provided efficient service throughout my stay. They provided transfer to & from railway station. Room was spacious & clean, with opening windows. The only thing to let it down (& why I haven’t given a perfect score) was the restaurant where the staff were grumpy & breakfast (a la care not buffet) not very good.

Fantastic experience
This was an excellent hotel with friendly staff that worked to anticipate my needs as an English speaker in a foreign country. The location is great, near the beach and in the center of the city with lots of stuff around. The rooms are very nicely appointed and there is a great restaurant next door that provides room service. There is a doorman and reserved parking spots which is vital because parking is very difficult in the city. I really enjoyed my week long stay here and would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Best Romanian hotel experience imaginable
On a whim we took a train from Bucharest to Constanta and found the Hotel Cherica (nearly confused by the taxi driver for a hotel with a similar name). The manager Stephen hauled our luggage for us, upgraded us to the 'Diplomat Suite' and treated us as royalty. When we checked in, I told the woman at the hotel desk that my husband was not feeling well, and could she tell me where there was a pharmacy near by. She said she didn't want me to get lost and that she would be happy to have her coworker, the bellhop get the meds. About 15 minutes later there was a knock at our door - both of them arrived with 4 meds the pharmacist had recommended, described how to take them, handed them to us and left. Finest service imaginable! The breakfast is served in the Irish Pub across the street. We also had dinner there - best restaurant in our 2-week Romanian trip.

Absolutely the best hotel stay I've had in years.
The staff focused on details and my comfort. Very professional. The room was very clean had everything I needed for both general comfort and accessibility to the internet. I doubt I've ever had a better nights sleep away from my own home. The hotel is along the shore of the Black Sea, and makes it easy to enjoy a day at the beach. Great location that is close to most anything a traveler needs, dining, banking, shopping, and more. Plus easy access to taxi and bus services that can get you to most anywhere you need to go. The adjacent restaurant Cafe Cafe is terrific. They have a diverse menu and the food is delicious. The taste is only matched by it's presentation and it's professional staff. I had no trouble communicating with anyone as the staff is well versed in English, as are the majority of the people of Constanta, and Romania in general. My stay was terrific, I would recommend it, and I would come back to Hotel Cherica without hesitation.

Nice rooms, WiFi, a la carte breakfast at the restaurant next door until 1pm included in the rate. Good restaurant next door and others in the vicinity. Free bottled water with room. Walking distance to everything in Constanta. Free overnight parking out front. Attentive service from staff.
