“At the beginning, we booked 1 night at the hotel. The moment we entered into the house, we were all amazed, and later on joyful. It is a very relaxing and well decorated house with a swimming pool and courtyard. Just like home. So we immediately made a decision that when we came back to La Paz after our diving trip, we stayed here again. The owner is a couple, very nice and kind. The hostess was very warmhearted, helping us to reserve a table at the restaurant, cooking breakfast earlier than……

“I looked at the reviews before I booked and can’t figure out what th others were talking about. This place is nothing like the photos, it’s very old and dated, needs a remodel, isn’t particularly clean and is very loud. There is no insulation springs doors and windows so it’s very noisy, despite the fact that it’s in a quiet area. The pillows are like plywood, sheets are polyester and the towels feel like sandpaper. The staff were all nice and helpful and the location was great, but other……

“The balcony facing the sea was the huge bonus for me. That was why I chose Las Gaviotas. As a solo traveler I did not need the large space. The apartment is very large with large balcony also. Perfect for families, or 2 couples as it offers each a bedroom and each their own bath plus kitchen. Location steps to Malecon, restaurants, cafes, grocery. And quiet for sleeping. The pool setting is very nice with many lounge chairs. Hector the owner is really helpful. I felt relaxed staying here. Would……

“Pool was very nice, AC no issues. The staff in the front desk were really good. Melissa was good in the morning and Diana in the evening she was excellent.! The food in the restaurant was very good, service could improve, the cook excellent. I was surprise how nice the rooms are in the first floor, not so much in the second floor. ”

“the pool was very small but nice. all parking is on the street. the staff were very accommodating but their hours are limited. bring good ear plugs as there are barking dogs at business across street - noisy all night. patio was nice. breakfast was a banana/fruit and drinkable yoghurt. cookies came out at 10 am. this place does not have a kitchen, only a very small frig. NO ice machine. plenty of filtered water available in lobby”
