Great the kitchen in common for the hosts. Unfortunately in our room the bed was fitted in the rock wall and uncomfortable for who slip in that side lying close the wall. I don’t know if was the same in others rooms.

We were in room #7 and it’s a really good one to choose. It’s one of their bigger rooms and has a beautiful chesterfield couch in it. Parking was undercover in the shade, the room was spotless and the whole ‘vibe’ of the place was so relaxing. The managers, Mick & Erin, were the nicest people….so friendly and helpful. We loved chatting to them. We would highly recommend staying here!

It was very comfortable. The room was very clean. The owner came and fetched me from the airport and return. My room had a kitchenette with a microwave. There is a kitchen where one can cook.

I’d been curious to visit Coober Pedy for quite some time and wanted to stay in an authentic (but comfortable!) dugout. I looked at a few different places and finally settled on a double deluxe room at the Underground Motel. It was the perfect mix of feeling like a real dugout with a small kitchen, bathroom, wi-fi, aircon, hot water etc. The owners are a friendly couple, chatty and welcoming. And very kindly collected me from the airport when I arrived and dropped me off in town ahead of the evening Greyhound bus to Port Augusta.
