「Dit hotel geeft je het persoonlijke gevoel dat je bij iemand logeert. Het onthaal is warm en persoonlijk. Even lekker zitten met koffie en thee met een introductie van Louise. De inrichting is oud Engels chique. Diverse lounges en ruime slaapkamers. Een heerlijk Engels ontbijt en ’s’avonds ook lekker gegeten. We hebben genoten en als extra heeft de serveerster Saskia voor ons gezongen. Super leuk om mee te maken. Van onze 10 daagde reis was dit het beste adres. Een aanrader!」

「The Claverton House Hotel is a lovely, small hotel with good parking, with wonderful grounds and is well located for trips to Battle, Hastings and the Carr Taylor Vineyard. Our family group spent one night in 2 luxury rooms - modern, spacious with king size beds. We had an enjoyable dinner - a good selection of menu options at reasonable prices - and excellent freshly cooked Full English breakfasts. The service by the generally young staff was efficient and friendly. 」

「Battle is a very small town; having the helpful hotel staff in the neighborhood is certainly a plus. This building has existed as of the 16th century, and it's been properly maintained and apparently renovated in the toilet/bathroom.」

「We stayed in the Swan Deluxe Suite and wished we'd booked for longer. It looks like it was only recently renovated and it was immaculate, clean and tasteful. Was nice having a separate living area. The robes and slippers were a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable. The little terrace was nice. If it had been warmer, i imagined having a drink on the terrace, looking at the gorgeous view. The breakfast was buffet style and had so many options. Didnt eat in the restaurant but looked nice....

「Lovely hotel in a good location. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. Plenty of parking. The rooms were a good size and very clean with comfortable beds. Bathroom was also clean but in need of updating. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. We would definitely stay here again.」

「The host was acomodating and really helpful. Easily accessible via texts. We never actually saw her. Room was prepared for us and welcoming, refreshments were available on arrival and kid found little fridge greaf. Some little things in there that makes the room not be worth 10/10 like little TV never working or shower leaking so needing to use one of towels to make sure we don't drown neighbours, but we would return providing that the order becomes easier. Unsure if I'd book via hotels.com...
