Direct lake access and close to beach

With great lake views this quirky house has a rich local history. Ideally suited to casual family holidays perfect for teenage kids that may like their own retreat downstairs. Enjoy on water sports straight out front, the fire pit and easy walk to village shops and great surf and fishing beach. This property is also pet friendly but please note the property is not fenced (see pet policy below).

4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms Lakefront position with use of kayaks (at own risk)
Teenage retreat downstairs with small pool table All bed and bath linen included
BBQ Deck with great lake views
Outdoor fire pit and bush seating for evening stories around the fire

This property has some great features that lend itself to a great casual holiday by the lake and close to the beach. However, if a few quirky building features doesn`t suit you, then this may not be the property for you. This property is not fenced and leads straight onto the lake, as such it is not suitable for young children or toddlers.

Pets: Pets allowed on application but please note yard is not fenced. Pets are to be kept off carpeted areas, beds, couches, cushions and other soft furnishings. Additional cleaning fees will apply if pets mark or soil these areas, or leave excessive fur or dirt behind.

As this home is being offered as a short-term rental, we kindly ask our guests to familiarise themselves with the short-term rental code of conduct, in particular part 2.5 which refers to the rights and obligations of the guest. This will help ensure your stay is enjoyed without interruption.

Lovely location, peaceful and comfortable with enough room to spread out and space for pets to run around outside (though not fenced). Pretty view from the terrace, enjoyed the games room downstairs and access to lake with kayaks provided. Well stocked kitchen although missing oven mitts, tea towels and a working vacuum, plus BBQ needs a hotplate. No WiFi was a downer. Overall we loved it and need to return to use the fire-pit which looks great!

This is our second visit at the property, set up well for short family break from Sydney. Family really enjoyed the lakeside location, fire pit, canoes and pool table.

Long weekend

Yes this property has direct lake access but what isn’t shown in any of the photos is the steep stairs leading from the house down to the lake which meant some of our party couldn’t walk down to the lake. I would t have booked this property had I known this in advance. You always expect to pay more over a public holiday long weekend but I think this property is over priced for what it was which was dated. Little things like bedroom walls not going up to the ceiling would have been handy to know about as this is an issue if not all your party members go to bed at the same time. Fan didn’t work in the upstairs bedroom. Tv remote control was a bit hit and miss. Yes they are little things but when you are spending a lot of money over a public holiday weekend for a four night stay, I expected better.

Great for family

Excellent in most respects. Lovely outlook over lake. The pool table was great as were the kyacks. There were 2 very friendly ducks and even a bandicoot. Place was well equipped, however I'm yet to stay anywhere that supplies a working vacumme cleaner.

Great location and view, loved the fireplace

Anna was very easy to communicate with in regards to our booking and check in. The location and view are great. Its an older house but suited us fine for a large family group. The driveway was not for the faint hearted, but we managed it. The beds downstairs in the bunk room could maybe do with updated mattresses but the other beds were fine. Quite an interesting downstairs bathroom :) Just a short walk to the beach and local cafe's. Very friendly locals.

The house actually presented better in the photos than it did in life. However; the layout did work brilliantly for our teen children (not quite glamorous enough though, for us adults!). The outlook from indoors was picturesque. Unfortunately there was a stench coming from the lagoon which we noticed when we sat outside or swam in it. We didn’t expect this. The kayaks did somewhat redeem. For the children at least!

Wonderfully relaxing stay

A great spot with beautiful outlook. Renovated kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable, stylish, clean and tidy. Location is amazing. Only one thing to improve: two of the four on-site kayaks are missing the plugs that keep the water out. We would have brought our own, had we known. Otherwise a brilliant stay.

Lakeside getaway

We came up for a weekend away for my partners 40th, with all the borders closed this was a great distraction from everything going on in the world. The place was perfect for our group, we had our 5 month of with us and we’re able to still get her to sleep while the rest of us enjoyed dinner in the dining room. The fire pit was an amazing feature, again you couldn’t hear anyone down there from the house so it work out perfectly for our group. Such a beautiful setting, we had a great time and it was the perfect weekend away! Thank you!

Ticked so many boxes with a few quirks

This place really ticked all the boxes for our 2 families only let down by slight issue with cob webs and steep awkward drive way - there is must needed backyard lighting BUT so many positives that made this place perfect for us. Being right on the lagoon was fun and hours of entertainment as well as only being leisurely walk down to the beach. Anna was fantastic and always on hand for any calls or enquires

Wonderful Lakeside Family Property!

We had the most amazing time at this beautiful lakeside property. Traveled with two kids and they absolutely loved the table tennis and snooker tables as well as the many videos and board games available. The fireplace really set the mood and the lakeside bonfire was the icing on the cake. The property is literally an 8-minute walk to the beautiful Copacabana beach and the surrounding neighborhood is stunning. I can't thank the property owners enough, they really thought about everything, from the amenities to every kitchen supply imaginable the property caters for everything you will need on your perfect getaway. We absolutely loved everything about the property and we can't wait to come back!
