Difficult check-in/parking, but otherwise nice stay

It's a great place to stay if you can get past the check-in and parking nightmare. They should have someone to greet you as the check-in process is complicated and the written instructions tedious and too complex to attend to while driving. No blowdryer was present, as promised, but it was brought the following day. The apartment is comfortable and attractive, and the neighborhood is a plus.

Great apartment

Our family of four stayed here in the middle of our European vacation. It was a perfect place to spread out, relax, have a few home cooked meals, and do laundry before the final leg of our trip. There are two grocery stores downstairs as well as a coffeehouse and some restaurants. It has a very nice gym. And a few blocks away is a great area where people swim in the canal, play sand volleyball and basketball and picnic along the waters edge. The apartment is in a residential area, out of the tourist hustle and bustle, but still very close to everything. We never really figured out an easy way for transportation. There is no Uber, never saw a taxi in the neighborhood and it's a mile to a metro stop. So I would not recommend the location for small children or elderly. But for us, it worked out great. There are orange bikes all over town and one of the drop stations is on the same block so we just grabbed bicycles every day and within 10-20 minutes we could ride anywhere we wanted to. It was a great way to see the city. There is no air conditioning, but there were a lot of windows for cross breeze and ventilation. Property management is very attentive and they have a website for the apartment with a lot of helpful information about the area and the property. We only stayed 3 nights. Wish we would have spent a week.

Tolles Appartement im hochmodernen Stil

Das Appartment ist durch die offene Bauweise von Küche, Wohn- und Essraum und den bodentiefen Fenstern, die über die gesamte Wandbreite und -höhe gehen (auch in den Schlafzimmern) sehr geräumig und hell. Die Schlafzimmer sind ausreichend groß. Auch die Betten haben mit 1,80 x 2,00 m eine ausreichende Größe für 1,80 m lange Menschen ;-) Die Verdunklungsmöglichkeiten in allen Räumen bestehen aus dicken schwarzen Vorhängen. In der Küche war alles vorhanden, was man für kleine Mahlzeiten im Urlaub benötigt (der Pfefferstreuer müsste bei Gelegenheit mal wieder aufgefüllt werden :-)). Zu dem vorhandenen Besen und Kehrblech könnte noch ein kleiner Staubsauber und ein Eimer mit Wischer und Lappen zur Verfügung stehen. Wir haben uns in den 5 Tagen unseres Aufenthalte sehr wohl gefühlt. In der Nähe des Hauses befindet sich nach ca. 5 Minuten Fußweg ein kleiner künstlich angelegter See mit Sandstrand. Dieser ist bestens für ein morgentliches Bad oder eine Abkühlung nach langen Sightseeingtouren geeignet. Herrlich!
