“Great location, fabulous views of the rolling hills and loch, together with a real sense of 'getting away from it all'. The downstairs of the cottage was cosy and adequately equipped. We particularly enjoyed the open fire that was set up ready to go, we only had to light it and there was plenty of spare wood to burn. A point for our own learning is that next time we will select somewhere that does not welcome pets as many parts of the upstairs did smell like dogs were there before us. So much so……

“Lovely dog friendly property in a beautiful location with views over to Holy Island. The owner had thoughtfully provided a telescope, which was much appreciated. The house was well equipped, with comfy beds and lounge seating. ”

“We were in town for the Race Across Scotland - crew stayed here throughout the week, and two of us who ran it were here after we finished. Was a close drive to Cocksburnpath, and to other surrounding areas. Great spot for 4 folks, and having laundry was a huge bonus. Lovely property.”

The host gave us loads of local information to make the most of our stay, including our visit to town and the Holy Island. I'd love to come back in the summer!”

“Really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely cottage. Had all we needed. Clean, comfortable and cosy. Fab location for supermarket, bakery, gift shops and loads of restaurants a few steps away.! Short drive to major sightseeing spots too We would definitely stay again and looking into when we can rebook. Ps. Also got to enjoy the outside seating area for a couple of days. A real sun trap ”
