A hidden gem

This cabin was a great find for my family of 6, plus our dog. It's cozy yet spacious with just enough room for our South Shore family vacation base of operations. There are great spots to take in the sights and enjoy the wilderness all around.

Apostle Island visit

Beautiful scenery, challenging hiking and kayaking. The cabin was nicely appointed and the host was very responsive. Washing machine did not work too well - hope they got that fixed. Everything else was fine.

The Best Secret!

This rental exceeded our expectations from cleanliness, location, local coffee and fresh meats the host had waiting for us along with a gate for the deck for our pup! Easy walk to downtown and the beach and a half hour drive to some spectacular towns such as Bayfield, Asheville, Herbster, Port Wing and Iron City. Beautiful beaches, amazing local fish and water from the well was so refreshing! Cannot wait to return and share this secret with our friends and family! Thank you again for everything!

Fabulous cabin, thoughtful host, tiny town

The attention to detail and thoughtfulness of the set up of this cabin exceeds any other I've seen. The town is only one short road so there is not much to do so plan you activities. It was great to have such a nice cabin to spend our time in. The host has put a lot of thought into making sure her guests have a wonderful stay. Everything was perfect, clean and pretty. Feels very private even though you can walk to the shop and restaurant. The only difference I see in pictures is the add of a lovely patio set perfect to enjoy meals outside in summer. Kitchen is terrific too.

Little corner of paradise

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location is perfect: Right next to downtown Cornucopia (so you can find basic items easily), and just minutes from some of the coolest trails in the area. We stayed with two of us and our two pups. The pups adored the cabin and settled right in. The cabin is really adorable and cozy, very clean and updated, and has everything you need (including a well-equipped kitchen). It was easy to communicate with Erin. We hiked two nearby trails, the Lakeshore Trail and Lost Creek Falls, both of which we highly recommend. Our only regret was that we weren't able to stay for longer.

Fabulous Cabin!

My overall experience from booking to staying was great! The cabin was better than I anticipated. It was super clean and it’s very well decorated. It’s not a “cheap” place to stay by any means. It feels much more luxurious. Erin’s communication and accommodations were fantastic. One of the biggest things I needed in a place was AC and the AC there works fantastically. My husband and our friends all greatly complimented the place and how nice it was. Everyone enjoyed their stay. The only “complaint” from all of us are the beds. It feels everywhere else in the house was greatly thought of and picked out with great care, however, the beds are VERY hard and springy, so if you don’t like hard beds, I suggest bringing a pillow top topper to sleep on to make it more comfortable. This did not greatly affect the overall way we felt about the place and our stay, though. Don’t let the hard beds deter you from this fabulous place! You won’t regret your stay! If we ever go back up there, we will definitely book it again!

Such a great 2 bdr in a beautiful corner of the world. Host thought of all the amenities! So close to Lake Superior beaches, hikes, and kayaking. Not to mention the fruit farms. Prefer the quiet of Cornucopia.

Lake Superior Family Road Trip!

An absolutely charming, welcoming, spotless and dog friendly (which was extremely high on our list of priorities) cabin. So relaxing and beautiful! Very very clean, organized and well-stocked. The host, Erin has provided and thought of everything you would want or need in a vacation dwelling! A perfect holiday week with our pooch!

My husband and I live in Chicago, and this was a perfect Thanksgiving holiday week getaway for us! We are like most people with busy day to day lives, and we wanted to be in a peaceful/quiet environment This cabin was just what we needed, and Erin (our host) could not have been more thoughtful in every detail of the cabin as well as accommodating to any need we might have before/after arrival. She lives local, which was a great comfort! There is a lot of outdoor activity to do in the area. At this time of the year though, it was pretty cold for several of the days of our stay,(which we were expecting), but we were very happy to be in the cabin itself relaxing, cooking and playing board games. There is an option that Erin offers to get several fresh local products from farmer's like eggs and vegetables, (and we did) but we also went to one of the nearest supermarkets about a 1/2 hour drive away. One of our favorite things about renting this cabin was being able to have our pooch with us. As I said, Erin has thought of everything, including what your pet may need for their stay too! We highly recommend this property for a quick getaway or a longer stay like we did :)))
