A beautiful, second row beach cottage with unobstructed ocean view home in Swan Beach, Corolla awaits. Just walk over the dune and your at the beach. 2 minute walk to the ocean. Watch the wildlife from the top deck, or enjoy the sunset from the screened in porch directly off of the kitchen. Located only 3 miles from the paved road, you are almost sure to get a visit from the famous Corolla Beach Horses. Like a past guest said in a past review "where else can you see dolphins in the front yard in the ocean and have horses in the back?" This tranquil Corolla beach cottage provides all you need to relax and unwind, only steps away from the ocean. Shops and restaurants are a short drive down the beach to the quaint town of Corolla. Our dog friendly, 3 bedroom 2.5 bath home with amazing views is unbeatable!

Perfect location on the 4x4 beach! Saw so many wild horses and the house had everything we needed! Gorgeous view and easy walk to the beach! Property owner was quick to respond and very knowledgeable about the area and the 4x4 beach (we were 1st timers). Would highly recommend!

Had a good wonderful stay at the Sandsquatch! First stay in the 4x4 area and will definitely be back. We saw the wild horses daily, both on our property and others. Bobby was very responsive when we messaged him and we really enjoyed our whole week. Incredibly fun experience unlike the typical OBX trip!

Best Trip Ever!

The listing did not do this stay justice! I was hoping to get to see a horse…wow…we were practically part of the tour! We saw horses everyday from every window of the house. The house is spectacular! The views are so impressive…food nearby was so delicious! Walking in the beach in the mornings we found sand dollars and starfish and beautiful shells! The couches in the living room were so comfy they got at least one nap a day…

Great location but description is missing some important facts

This was a great place to visit, we saw wild mustangs almost every day from the house at short distance. Loved the view and the beach. However, one should know that one has to have a 4x4 car to drive to the house. The beach is the road and tires need to be deflated before entering the beach inflated after exiting the beach, every time. Also, one has to bring linens, towels, and one cannot drink the water from the faucets. Finally, the bed mattresses and sofas were were very bad for our backs.

Family Beach Trip

If wanting a relaxing stay at the beach in OBX look no further. This lovely beach house immediately puts you into vacation mode! Just off the water with a sandy short walk to the beach, it’s a location that creates less crowds and more horse watching chances. Listening and watching the ocean from the upper deck was sublime. The house has all you need. If planning another trip to OBX I would 100% stay here again if the opportunity arose.

Great Property, Even Better w/Subtle Updates

A SOLID 4.8/9 overall! The property was in a prime location, had easy/quick access to the beach, a well stocked kitchen, lots of light, and allowed beautiful views of the dunes horses and beach. It would be a 5 out of 5 with slight updates to the kitchen, bedroom furniture, bathrooms, all the light fixtures working, and a fresh coat of paint on the deck. Definitely worth a return visit!

Beautiful view and wild horses

We arrived over the sand dunes and saw horse wandering around neighbors yard. While sitting on the deck with a glass of wine, the view was great. The owners told us they recently purchased the property and are going to update the inside. The woodwork and furniture could use some updating but overall the house was great for us. Keep in mind that you have to deflate your tires and drive about 3.5 miles up the beach. We surely didn't mind that. Overall we would recommend and would come back.
