Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had the best time staying at the Cactus Flower. The pool was perfect after playing at the beach all day. The home is located very close to the Perch Beach access. It is an older home but everything was spotless. We were able to grill outdoors and eat in the screened room. Our dogs loved going on walks to the beach and chasing crabs. Overall, it was a perfect setup for our family, can't wait for next Summer, we are planning for 2 weeks we loved it so much,

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we enjoyed our stay as the house was clean upon arrival. The house was very close to the beach access boardwalk path which was great. We enjoyed the pool and that it was solar heated. We did discover a couple days in that the washer wasn’t working and while we got in touch with maintenance right away, we had to call back multiple times the next day as maintenance never arrived. We finally spoke with reservations that got a guy out to look at the washer. He got it to work but said it needed a new piece to get it to work properly. It might be a good idea for the owner to get a new washer as we heard other renters had issues as well. Additionally, the couch was very worn and probably needs replaced as well. Like I said, we did have a great time and would consider renting this home again as we loved whalehead, the pool, and close proximity to the beach.

We will go again but they need to replace the mattress in the main bedroom and the tv’s could be larger.

Location was great and liked being in Corolla. The view from the loft is excellent. However, the house is advertised as sleeping ten which it can but is really just big enough for eight and the dining room table is for eight . Two suggestions: replace the grill and get a more comfortable living room couch.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was nice...there are lots of good features to it, and it's super close to the beach, which was great. The porches were nice to sit on all though the day, and the pool was cool but clean. We had a great time, but I will tell you that the beds...the beds are ROUGH! My wife and I both had a very rough week of sleep because the beds were so bad. It's disappointing when you can't sleep on vacation! I'd recommend this place, but I would caution the next renters - if you have any trouble with bad beds - don't stay here. Until the owners replace the mattresses, we won't stay here again, it was too difficult.

All the bedrooms are on the same floor which was wonderful to have our little ones close and not on another floor. As we are older, not having endless steps was definitely a plus! It was just a short walk to the beach and we loved the private pool! The only negative, the mattresses were not very comfortable.

Cute house. We enjoyed the location to the beach. Wish the leasing office wasn’t in Duck as we always come in early to enjoy the day while waiting for our house to be ready. Staff however was super helpful and friendly!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great week staying at Cactus FLower. The rooms are good size, the house was very clean. The water pressure (and the outdoor shower!!) were great. There are no "extras" in the house (extra towels, seasonings in the kitchen, etc) but it is stocked with kitchen tools. My only thing is that I didn't like that we had to make the beds once we arrived. I had to make 6 beds after driving 13 hours....when charge for a cleaning fee I feel as though that should be included.

Reviewer Comments: House was great for a small family, pool was perfect for our needs. House was a little outdated with kitchen items but had an ice maker so that was a plus. Beds were hard and not what we expected for a vacation. House was cleaned (besides under the beds- we found many of items to include prescription meds at the foot of the bed) and carpet hasn’t been cleaned in ages- our feet were black within a few minutes. Vents were black from condensation but filters seemed new.

Our week at Cactus Flower

Great location, and easy walk to the beach, the house was clean upon check in. The pool was fantastic, my only complaint was none of the outdoor lights around the pool or in the pool were working. I called and reported to the rental agency and they said they would send someone by who never came. We went out and bought several strands of solar lights that satifisfied our kids who love night swims in the pool, so alls well that ends well just an FYI for others staying at this property. Overall great home, location, pool and trip, would most def stay at the cactus flower again.
