Welcome to Decked Out, where your Corolla vacation is sure to be spectacular. This 7 bedroom, 6 bathroom home is located in the Whalehead Beach community in Corolla. Decked Out is also conveniently located near great local dining and shopping plus historical attractions like Historic Whalehead Club, Currituck Beach Lighthouse, and Historic Corolla Village. If you have 4-wheel drive, take advantage of the 4-wheel drive beach access just 5 minutes away! No 4-wheel drive? No problem! You'll still have access to endless beach days at the access off of Lighthouse Drive. The lifeguarded Bonito street access is also just a short drive away as well.

At Decked Out, enjoy some quality time splashing around and soaking up the sun at your very own private pool! The poolside cabana provides the perfect space to cool off with your favorite drink or make a bite to eat! Make your way up to the second-level decking and relax in the hot tub while taking in the stunning views of Corolla. When you've had enough fun in the sun poolside or after a day at the beach, come on in to the rec room complete with pool table, flat-screen TV, and kitchenette. Upstairs, you''ll find a spacious and open living area complete with flat-screen TV and ample seating making it the perfect space to entertain friends and family. The kitchen is nothing short of spacious with everything you need to prepare meals for the whole crew, including 2 dishwashers and a wine refrigerator. The dining room table seats 8, the breakfast bar seats 8, and the breakfast nook seats an additional 6 so truly everyone has a seat at the table. The only thing good I can say is that the kitchen was the best kitchen of any place I've rented before. They had everything you ever needed plus every cabinet was marked with contents. Many things not in repair: Elevator not working all week was the worst. My husband and I both needed it desperately (27 steps up and 27 steps down). Pool was never cleaned even though it should have been done twice within the week. Other issues were: fan not working, molding on upper deck had curled up at least 10 inches, molding missing and was a trip hazard, shower head needed replaced, broken toilet. Housekeeping wasn't done when we arrived i.e. garbage, beer cans, dirty socks, marijuana smell in a dresser, no kitchen towels, sand on downstairs couches, and food on floor. Most expensive house rented and the worst.

This property needs a lot of maintenance and updating! We had to call the cleaning crew back because it was filthy. Black mold around the outside shower area. Windows dirty, furniture very old and worn. Deck boards loose and uneven caused a trip hazard. Outside of the house is covered with dead bugs and cobwebs! Not good!

the back deck off the kitchen was a great gathering place to watch the sunset in the West. One of our party was awaiting a hip replacement and found the elevator was a godsend. Beach in the morning, pool and cocktails in the afternoon. Lots of parking.

Thank goodness for the Location and Neighbors

Our vacation wasn't what we expected but it turned out to be pleasant after having most of our complaints addressed by management. We experienced quite a few hiccups such as as bathrooms not being cleaned, there were an abundance of spiders and flies in the pool area and surrounding the house which made difficult to enjoy the outside amenities. We addressed our concerns with management who quickly responded and came out to review the areas of in question. We also noticed hairs and dirty used wash rags in the bathrooms as well as a blood spotted pillow in the 3rd floor mastersuite. For the 1st 2 days the pool was not heated although we paid for it in advance and the hot tub did not have filters which caused it to be cloudy after 2 uses. The best part about staying at the house was the view from the top balcony and the location to the beaches and piers so that we could go fishing and enjoy the outer banks with our family and friends. We also enjoyed how spacious the house is in order to accommodate everyone who came.

Perfect!

This is an amazing property which was perfect for our very busy family of 15! There is plenty of room to be together with the option to find a place of seclusion within the home for a solitude break! The top balcony is a perfect place for sunrise yoga. The pool was a big hit! There were pool toys there possibly left by a previous family. We added to the collection when we left. Location to the beach is very adequate. We travel frequently as a group. We all agreed that this home had everything we needed and more.

So much space!

This property was amazing! So much room, great atmosphere and we LOVED the space in the kitchen. I brought my family down (22 total people) for my 40th and there was never a time when anyone felt crowded. We asked for the pool to be heated and it was a beautiful 86 degrees when we arrived. 5 minute causal walk to the beach and minutes from everything else. Can’t wait to go back!! I think this may be our new yearly tradition.

Amazing memories

Beautiful house very kid friendly. We enjoyed the pool everyday was so warm even when the air was cold. So much space for us all. Kitchen was beautiful. The only thing was garbage was left on the trash cans. A lot to do in corolla. Thank you we made so many special memories and planning on making it a yearly thing.

Gorgeous property

Perfect for a huge crowd. With 22 people it was easy to visit or get away for a nap. All the kitchen essentials for food preparation and cooking. Easy access to beach.

Place was great! Maintenance was poor never responded to our our issues with pool, however did refund us money for their neglect. Many updates. Need to update couches. Kitchen had an abundance of dishware and odd and ends!

We loved the house and the location

Overall, this was a great house for our Outer Banks beach vacation. The house was perfect for a large group with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. The beds were pretty comfortable. We loved the pool and the hot tub. The house is located pretty close to the beach access and we had no issues walking there to get on the beach. The only things with the house that need approving are: the TVs are extremely outdated. All the TVs need replacing. I think they should buy smart TVs and get rid of cable. All you really need is a strong internet connection and most people have their own streaming services they can log into with a smart TV. The internet connection was pretty SLOW. We had trouble connecting but we were not there to be on the internet all the time, so it was fine for most of us but if you needed to do any work, you might have had some issues with that. The outside of the house could benefit from some power washing as well. The decks were great for hanging out on and we played some games out in the front yard as well. Overall, we loved the house and the location and would highly recommend. Thanks for a wonderful week.
