But this was the hottest summer in recorded history, and future summers are likely to be even hotter. It's time to upgrade the shaded areas - the mesh isn't good enough. And please add more shading for more guests.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our time at Lil Joe Cottage! It is a fantastic house...decorated so cute...well stocked and laid out really well too! We LOVED the backyard...has a wonderful fire pit and lots of space to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a cocktail in the evening...and it's pretty private. Location is really great...just a short walk to one of the pools, to the poolside restaurant/bar, to the pizza joint, to the "nice" restaurant on property and even to the beach access. RIGHT next to the great lawn where our boys played endless hours of spike ball! We LOVE Cinnamon Shores and would choose this house again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are frequent visitors to Cinnamon Shores. Overall we love the community. The staff is always fantastic. We were a little disappointed in Lil' Joe Cottage. House is generally clean and nice overall, but fails to take advantage of the amazing potential views overlooking the lake and ocean. All bedrooms and balconies face the street. There was no pantry available for our use which made it difficult to store groceries etc. We enjoy cooking and generally prefer gas over the electric, stove in this home. Overall a lovely home, nicely appointed, just not one of our favorites.

Lil’ Joe Cottage

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was expensive for size and amenities. We have stayed at rental homes on the beautiful Caribbean with a pool in the back yard, our own private beach and golf cart included for 1/2 the price and twice the size. Lil’ Joe Cottage was nice and nicely decorated but not worth the price. Lil’ Joe shows a fire pit for evenings but we’re disappointed to find out we were not able to use it, not sure why they picture it in the amenities. Not sure why a rental would not provide basics such dish soap, trash bags, paper towels, etc in this expensive of a rental. Little things make a difference and add convenience to those on vacation. Cinnamon Shores has 3 pools which were very warm basically heated pools. Disappointing when it is 96 degrees and sunny. Pools should be cool and refreshing.

Reviewer Comments: Stay Awhile is in a great location in an upscale resort neighborhood with beautiful pools, two stocked lakes and wide clean beaches. The house itself though is very clean but not well maintained. The porch light is hanging sideways, doors stick, mirrors are rusted and the appliances were dated, or not working well. The Frigidaire oven wouldn't get hot enough to bake and the dryer screeched loudly. You'd expect more in this price range. The bedroom arrangement also was not ideal with a bunk room, one room with two double beds and one king bed in the master. We had 3 couples and two adult children. The only views were from an upstairs "tower room" with one sofa sleeper, a TV and small dining table. While the house backs up to a lake, overgrown bushes obscure the view and there is no lawn area. There is an I-home downstairs but it wasn't compatible with the I-phone 6. Importantly the kitchen is not equipped well. There are NO glasses only plastic cups and there was one or two steak knives. I do appreciate how Cinnamon Shores provides sweeteners, coffee and filters, salt and pepper, foil and detergent pods for renters. Overall would look for a different rental but we enjoyed Cinnamon Shores and will return to the neighborhood.

We have been vacationing there for four years now. Lots of activities for the children and the staff is very friendly. The owner needs to take care of some maintenance. The doors are very hard to close, the garage door in the back will not close. There is a leak in the ceiling where someone put some tape (which was there last year when we rented the house) and a leak under the sink.

Great week at Lil' JoE Cottage

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 3rd trip to CS and we tried a different location this time. We were not disappointed. Lil JoE was perfect for our family. House was clean, well-located and perfect for a relaxing week. The awesome-ness of the back yard cannot be over-stated. No kidding, there is a cool breeze EVERY night that comes across the property. Every day we were there the real-feel temp was 100+. Each night we were able to sit out back by the lake for happy hour. One night I even wore a sweater - in July!! We rented more space that we needed this time and all of us agree that Lil JoE allowed us to spread out and completely unplug for a few days. Our only service issue was handled promptly by the front office. They sent Raul out and he worked with us until the problem was fixed. We've had Raul work on service issues for us at another property and he was fabulous then too. CS is lucky to have him. Can't wait to come back!!!

This trip brought a few hiccups- umbrella and chairs - was charged for the day we checked in even though we checked in around 4pm and not a day requested, one day chairs and umbrella were not set up till after noon, last day no umbrella at all.New restaurant, Dylan’s, was excellent. We think you all could do a better job preparing the houses for new guests though. There always seems to be a few things that aren't quite right. This year, we had no propane in the grill, but we didn't discover that until we had thawed all of our meat and were ready to grill. It was really irritating.

Cinnamon Shore +. This house-.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we score this house a C. We have stayed at Cinnamon Shores many times and in this house years ago, but much has changed with this house. The air conditioning is controlled by Nest which allows the thermostat to cool to 69 at the lowest without a code which Cinnamon Shores would not provide. However the 3rd level bedroom never cooled to anywhere near 69, even with the overhead fan and a box fan on at all times. I've never stayed at a rental house that did not allow the renter to control the thermostat, and this is an expensive property to rent. If the AC is maintained properly there is no concern that it will freeze up if the temp is lowered, which was the reason CS said that they would not make an adjustment. The audio for the downstairs TV did not work properly. We could hear some voices, not all, and very little background sounds. After 3 days a CS maintenance person did come fix the audio, which was a very complicated process. Another CS person tried to fix the audio first but could not work the system. The TV required constant updates to be performed, which caused sound glitches again. Our family likes to watch movies at night on vacation, and not having the system work properly was very frustrating. The TV and speaker system is too complicated and needs to be replaced. The 2nd TV is not hooked up to cable. The kitchen is very well equipped but has no pantry in which to place foods items. We ended up shoving food in various cabinets and over the washer. The 3rd floor has a beautiful view of the ocean but no porch on which to enjoy it. In fact, no upper level porches facing the ocean for the breeze. CS does now leave out their rental beach chairs until 9 PM, a big plus, as in previous years they picked up the chairs at 5:30. We love being at the ocean in late afternoon/early evening. The house was clean upon arrival. The bedrooms are nice size. Beds are comfortable. We continue to love Cinnamon Shore, just would not stay at this house again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We liked the house very was very clean. We would have appreciated access to the garage for storage but it was not available. We left our beach stuff in the driveway at night. It was never bothered. The backyard and fire pit were a nice touch although the mosquitos were bad. The house is within walking distance of the boardwalk to the beach. Easy access to beach unless you are driving a vehicle which we were. The beach access road is down at Palmilla Golf club.You can rent a golf cart from CS to drive on the boardwalks to the beach for $150.00 per 24 hrs. Cinnamon Shores does not seem to like people bringing their own vehicle to the beach. They block off access to the beach with their rentable beach chairs & umbrellas which they set very far back from the water.Almost on the seemed like they were not wanting us to put up our own tent either although this is a public beach.
