Weekend getaway

We had never been over to Whidbey island so for my birthday we decided to spend the weekend here in coupeville. We had a really nice stay, the house had everything we needed, the hot tub was great. We would definitely come back and stay again.

Beautiful Combo of Nature and Relaxation

We loved our stay at cove cottage! During the day we explored state parks and towns and at night ( and in the morning) we enjoyed the hot tub with gorgeous views! They really thought of everything too, thank you!

Beautiful stay on Whidbey Island

We had a great stay at this property on Whidbey. Centrally located, quiet area yet walking distance to to Captain Whidbey Inn for dinner one night. Saw seals, crab, Mt. Baker and beautiful sunsets all from the property. Wonderful spot for our family vacation!

Beautiful location.

Beautiful location, stunning views of the cove. The cleanliness of the house was lacking greatly and there were a few things in disrepair. But the positive experience with the person who dropped off a pizza was a highlight. We didn’t complain about the things not working or the cleanliness because we were impressed with the hospitality. The location of the house cannot be beat though. Recommend eating at Captain Whidbey.

Fun, cozy and relaxing

Myself and two friends stayed over a stormy weekend and had a fun cozy and relaxing time. The fireplace was a nice warm welcome and added to our evening playing games and laughing. The hot tub was nice, clean and hot. The beds were comfortable and the towels and linens clean.

Perfect Cottage

We had an amazing time staying at the Cove Cottage and centrally located on Whidbey, nothing is further away than 45 minutes! May have to stay here again if we make it up here again!

Peaceful crafting getaway.

Cabin had beautiful views and great location for getting to lovely drives and nice trails to explore. House set up nicely for two couples with private and shared space. Kitchen needed better pans and hot tub was of no use. Needs some shelter.

Great place

The house was wonderful, as was the location. Very comfortable and we would definitely go back. The only downside was communications during the stay with the property management firm. Big wind storm the morning after arrival and all power on the island was lost. I called the property management firm to notify them - fully knowing there was nothing they could do. They did promise to keep in touch and update me on what they could find out about the power returning. Power was out 25 hours and the we never heard back from the property manager. Thankfully there was firewood and a fireplace. We stocked up on candles and snacks and made an adventure out of it.

Beautiful Cove View

This was a very nice place to stay. Feeling of being remote with a great view of the cove but close to Coupeville and other locations for day trips. The outside looks a little run down but the inside was absolutely beautiful and well cared for. Hot tub was amazing to sit in especially at night with a view of the water. Instructions were left for all the needs for the house during the stay. If there was one downside, it would be that you may want to bring some regular drinking cups, especially if you have kids, as there are only wine like glasses and coffee mugs to drink from. Otherwise, no complaints.

Cozy, but remote

Not being familiar with the island or the town of Coupeville, I was surprised by how remote the cabin was. It's difficult to find, especially in the dark, until you acclimate to the area. The cabin itself was cozy and comfortable, though it could have been cleaner. Note to the property manager, the instructions for the remote and coffee maker are out of date. Both were easy enough to figure out but the instructions were misleading.

A Charming Oasis of Calm

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fantastic stay with another couple at this cottage. From the minute you drive up, it has a feeling of calm and peace. We each had a bedroom with its own bathroom, and there were many other small details to make you feel at home, including a full kitchen and washer/dryer. Best of all was the hot tub on the deck--where we enjoyed time looking at the gorgeous madrona trees and watching the harbor seal and eagles that would go by in the cove. Convenient location to many different amenities in Coupeville and on Whidbey Island. Great communication with the host throughout the process. Would definitely book again!

Weekend Getaway

Nice quiet place to stay. The hot tub was great. The place is older. The trim around the doors is unfinished wood and trim is missing around the base of the walls through most of the place. Not a huge deal, but it did give it a slightly unfinished/ not 100% clean feel. The deadbolt was hard to open. Had to try several times before we could get it to work, but once we figured it out it was no problem other than I hurt my hand a couple times opening it. Neither of those things would be deal breakers for me. I would definitely stay there again.

Great view, cozy spot but probably wouldn’t return.

Our check in was for 4pm, we arrived at 4:15 to the house still in use. The cleaner was still there, so we had to stand outside in the cold with our 1 year old daughter anxiously ready to be inside to relax. The house is very cozy, but I wouldn’t say it comes with a fully stocked kitchen, we had to go out and buy a knife that was actually sharp. We left it, so next person can use a sharp knife. No fire wood for the fire place. Had to go buy some. The listing says it has plates and things for kids, they do not. The showers and sinks were falling apart and difficult to get a safe temperature. All these things are fine, but reduces the ability to fully relax. Then upon cleaning up, we are instructed to remove the sheets and things and found a huge nasty stain on the mattress protector. The views are amazing. Hot tub was great. Just some small inconveniences that add up.

Cozy Cottage

I very much enjoyed my stay here. The property is full of trees and wildlife with a great view of the cove. The hot tub was a great amenity. The front bedroom bed was very comfortable but the other bed was old and saggy and could be replaced. The curtains in the front bedroom need to be more light-blocking as the morning light was diffused not at by them each day; next time I’ll be sure to bring an eye mask. The place would benefit from a more comfy couch and lounge-style deck chairs. It was very unpleasant having to take the previous renters’ garbage to the curb on Sunday evening right after I checked in that afternoon; if the housekeeping crew is already there and cleaning on a Sunday that should be their responsibility in my opinion. Also garbage cans with wheels on it would be nice as I had to drag the one can down the length of the driveway. Perfect amount of space for two couples or up to a four person family. Would love to return in the future.
