Our stay here was better than we imagined. Kate and Cleo are awesome hosts. The suite is wonderful. The property was filled with trees, plants and flowers. The proximity to the beach was a boon for us. We loved walking on the Royston Seaside Trail. Watching the tide waxing and waning made our trip memorable.

A wonderful relaxing stay

We absolutely loved this spot. The accommodation was top notch, beautifully appointed and super comfortable. We especially enjoyed being able to sit in the beautiful gardens and watch the tide and activity on the water. The accommodation is on the Royston Seaside trail which we walked every day. If we have occasion to come back to this are we will definitely stay here!!!

We arrived late at night and had good communications with the host. We were greeted with a fresh bowl of grapes and apples that were harvested from the yard.The host lives upstairs and granted us all the privacy we wanted.Beautiful view of the water with direct access to walking trails and only 5 minutes from shopping and dining.Highly recommend!

Ocean view garden property

We really enjoyed the location, quick access to an ocean side trail which we walked a couple of times a day with our dog. The property has beautiful gardens with quiet nooks for sitting and reading or enjoying the view! The suite is very well designed and has everything you need!

Cozy oceanfront getaway

Beautiful location surrounded by lovely gardens

This was our second time staying at this location. I love it. There is an easy walk along the waterfront and several areas around the property to enjoy the view and relax. The host is lovely and very accommodating!

Great spot to access world class mountain biking

We had a wonderful stay at the Sandpiper! Wonderful location, close to a large mountain biking network! We really appreciated the clean and practical layout of the place. The sea view was stunning ! Cate was a perfect hostess, lots of information to share with us. We won’t forget about sweet Cleo’s post ride greetings, what a good dog!

Beautiful, serene place close to everything

What a beautiful place to stay in a virtual paradise of flowers and plants, right on the water! The location was perfect, close to many towns, biking and had a walking trail in front of the property. I easily made some simple meals in the very clean and new kitchen to enjoy on the patio area overlooking the water. The host was very kind , as was Cleo, and I would stay there again anytime!

Beautiful oceanside, dog friendly property

We really enjoyed our stay and so did our dog! It is a very spacious, clean and well designed suite. It had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. One of the features we enjoyed the most was the view of the ocean and the ability to walk from the property onto an oceanside trail, very convenient to walk our dog!

Comox Valley retreat

We had a lovely spring break getaway to Vancouver Island. Kate’s suite had everything we needed for our stay. Close to town and biking but it feels like you are in the country. Backs onto water and walking trail. My dog Chloe loved it also and enjoyed Kate’s dog Cleo. Thank you for your hospitality.

We had a great stay at Kate's. The location is unbelievable. Right on the ocean path. You can get to the mall in Courtenay through it, so I walked a few times with my son to Cobb's. The other way leads to a famous coffee shop, a bit on the expensive side, but the pastries are to die for. Coffee could be amazing, but I wouldn't know. I spent almost my entire time when we weren't away outside, staring at the water and the herons. Lots of space outside where you can find shade and a comfy chair or table.Whatever we needed we just had to ask. Kate even washed and folded our laundry!

Super cozy but roomy suite on the ocean with a walking trail a few steps from your door. Close to Courtenay but a very quiet area. Looking forward to another getaway!

A little slice of heaven!

We spent a lovely 3 nights at Kate’s property, and enjoyed every minute! We loved walking the seaside path right at the foot of the yard, and had the best sleep in ages! Had a wee problem with the fire alarm going off a couple of times, but she is trying to get this sorted.We cooked most of our meals in, and found the kitchen well equipped, and it was wonderful sitting under the grape arbor with a glass of wine every afternoon! We will definitely book again when we head up island in the future!

A Beautiful Rural Retreat in the Countryside

We stayed only one night but wished it could’ve been longer. Great attention to little details and loved the owner’s artwork. Thoroughly enjoyed the lovely walk with our dog on the riverside trail behind the property.

Beyond comfortable!!!

I have nothing but good things to say about this property. Host was there to greet us and easily reached at anytime. Can only imagine how beautiful her gardens are in the summer ( we were visiting in October). Even provided a great display of the Northern Lights lol.
