We never saw Nellie; she was supposed to come and make the safe operational - never did. The swimming pool was dirty, never cleaned and no instructions on how to clean it. Fridge floor flooded constantly making the tiled kitchen very unsafe. Two air conditioner controllers were not working. All pots and pans were in a very bad state. the whole area was very unattractive - roads in extremely poor condition. Generally an extremely disappointing experience. Virtually nothing to recommend it for.

Overall, our stay was okay. The house was clean, spacious and well-kept, beds comfortable, and kitchen equipped with all necessary appliances and dishes/cutlery. A few disappointing areas were noted however: -The booking details were sent via email, however numerous details were wrong: 1)The satellite location provided was inaccurate 2)The access code for the lockbox for the property keys was wrong 3)The number of bathrooms was advertised as 3, however one was locked and labeled out of order. -The booking was made 3 weeks in advance, however the following issues were experienced: 1)We couldn't check in until 2 hours after the agreed-upon time (3pm), as the housekeeper was still preparing the house. 2)The kitchen sink had a leak, which was not repaired until the afternoon of the next day, and we had to bear with multiple persons external to our party being in and out of the house during this time to repair the leak, without our prior knowledge or consent. 3)The pool was unfit for use, due to severe algal bloom and sedimentation, and wasn't cleaned and ready until 12noon on our last day. Had we not been granted a late check-out, we wouldn't have been able to use it at all during our stay. -Finally, communication was horribly lacking. I had to initiate contact with the host, and also request updates multiple times on the rectification of all the issues noted, after being promised updates, and not receiving. No apology was offered for any of the multiple inconveniences.

Home away from home!

I did not want to leave as I felt like I was home. We got a little lost because we had not been in Trinidad for a few years, but the host stayed on the phone with us until we located the home. How kind and caring can they be! Was a pleasure and delight. Will return in the neaaaar future.

Wonderful place and host

The location was perfect for our stay. The host was welcoming and helpful. The house is situated in a quiet, residential area. The house itself was immaculate and spacious. We were all very comfortable and wanted for nothing. We felt safe and private. I highly recommend this place if staying in Central Trinidad and/or if you are a small family or small group of friends. A car is also recommended. We would also rent this place again. A big thank you again to our wonderful host. It was a pleasure.
