The Secret Garden

This was an amazing trip and stay. We enjoyed walking the grounds to discover hidden treasures in the gardens. Having the house and pool to ourselves was fantastic and a great way to relax and reconnect the family. There was an oven issue but Chris was on top of it and communicate well to accommodate me for it. Highly recommend!!

Our stay at the Secret Garden

We were very pleased with our accommodations. The house was pleasant, clean, spacious, comfortable, and nicely kept. Beds were clean and very comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked with all we needed and much more. The playground for the kiddos was a plus and kept them very busy and the solarium was our go to place every day. We will be staying there again.

Very beautiful accommodations. The mattresses and pillows could have been better quality in the guest house but other than that our stay was perfect. There is plenty of room to relax as a group or spend time alone in many of the spaces in the garden. This is the perfect New Orleans home!

Bridal weekend

Parents, grandparents and great grandma stayed in main house. Bride and bridesmaids stayed in the guest house. This set up was perfect and exactly what we needed. The sun room served as the make up/hair room and then all pics were take in there as well. I highly recommend. The grounds were beautiful— we were planning on a lot of outdoor pics but weather did not cooperate.

Worth the visit

Beautiful property and house. Fishing pond was great. Wish the weather was nicer to use the pool. House very well stocked with supplies. Hosts are very responsive. Only complaint of the stay was the driveway was hard to find at first. GPS doesn't have it pinned correctly. Hope to return in the furture!

Plantation style home and grounds

The grounds were beautiful, and the home was nice especially for how old it is. All of the amenities you need were there and provided for you. The owner was easy to get in touch with. The beds were a little uncomfortable and the rugs were a little dirty from so many visitors. I would definitely get rid of the rugs and show the beautiful floors. We had a restful stay and would give the house an overall 4.7 because of the beds and rugs.

Wonderful friends getaway

Beautiful property, spacious with plenty of room for our friend group of seven. There are three rooms in main house and two rooms in second house across a small courtyard. Very easy to come and go to both houses. Main house has a very nice sun room which was great and spacious for all of us. Pool was well maintained with numerous lounge chairs. AC went out during our second day and despite being a Friday evening, the owner was quick to respond and had service provider on site within 30 minutes. We fully enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

Lovely place for family gathering

We stayed at the Secret Garden with several family members to celebrate Thanksgiving. The grounds are amazing and I wish we had spent more time on them. But the inside of the main house was fantastic for cooking a big meal and a large family gathering to eat it. Everyone loved the place and it was easy to relax there. The driveway turn is a little hard to spot but once you know it is there we didn't have problems afterwards. There isn't really anything walking distance but there is a large grocery store just a 5 minute drive away and lots of places to eat and get stuff along the main road (routine 190) close by. We appreciated that each bedroom has its own bathroom. All the spaces were clean and well supplied. Definitely recommend it for families and we'd happily stay there again.

The grounds of this property are beautiful which made it a great short visit. The online description is misleading as it does not state the number of bedrooms in each house. It said five bedrooms and I thought they were all in one house so it caused a bit of a sleeping dilemma with children being in a separate area. The second house is very very musty. It was not noted that the hot tub would not be working.

Wonderful escape

We booked this beautiful place for a much needed family getaway! As with everything you book online you never know what to really expect when you get there. The secret garden not only did not disappoint but it was much more than we could have hoped for. Secluded but close enough to anything you need, it’s a small piece of Paradise where you can relax, enjoy beautifully taken care of gardens, with lakes and a gorgeous swimming pool. The house accommodates many people with plenty of space and beautiful rooms with light and anything you might need. Every room has it’s own bathroom which is very convenient. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you might need! Again, the garden and the nature around this beautiful property is enough to guarantee a peaceful, restful stay!!! One thing very important is that the host is very quick to respond to any requests while allowing for complete independency and quiet. We are hoping to make this our frequent getaway destination!
