- This spacious cabin is located in "Old Craig" - a quiet part of town, situated on the westernmost peninsula. Just 3 blocks from Downtown, and 1 block from the ocean, you are near a number of local favorites. On site private washer/dryer and full kitchen.

Built in 1989, this pan abode style log cabin is located in a quiet part of Craig, just a block from the water front and shopping, restaurants, coffee, bars, etc.
The vaulted ceilings create a light and airy space, while the log walls give it that cozy cabin vibe. Decorated with original art by local artist, business owner, and your host - Madelaine Voegeli.
This space is perfect for all visitors; those heading to Craig for their annual summer trip, those here to visit family, or perhaps those coming for the trip of a lifetime!
The private washer, dryer, and full kitchen make extending your trip comfortable and saves you the cost of eating out and using the laundromat.
The fun is everywhere on Prince of Wales Island - just ask your hosts for suggestions!
This rental is one half of a duplex. The entrances are on separate sides of the house, so there should be minimal confusion.
You will have access to this entire rental unit, along with the yard surrounding the front entrance.

Great location and host
Good place to make a home base in a neighborhood by the water. Host was very responsive and attentive to inquires. Would highly recommend and would stay again.
Two things I would recommend. Better info about cable TV. Welcome docs gave instructions to TV but turns out no TV. It was fine but used more data than planned and would have been nice to know ahead of arrival.
And there were few checkout instructions so I did what I usually do. Clean up after ourselves but didn’t dump trash because I was unclear on outside trash can situation.

Madelaine’s cabin is beautiful and in the heart of Craig easily accessible or walkable to library, harbor, and some restaurants.
It was perfect for our family of 5 and I appreciated all the beautiful local artwork, some of which is Madelaines’! When we had questions she was quick to get back with us; really great communication. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

A fabulous place!
My mother and I travelled from Canada to visit her good friend for a week. It turns out that her friend lives across the street from this property, so it was a convenient location. The view in this area of Craig is spectacular! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 2nd and Spruce Cabin! The place was clean and comfortable and the communication Madeleine was great. We really appreciated having the laundry facilities (since we only travelled with our carry-on luggage). The grocery store, restaurants, and other shops are within walking distance. We could not have asked for anything more. We highly recommend this place for a few nights or a longer stay!

Best vacation ever!
First we want to say Madelaine and Kyle we the most amazing hosts. This cabin was perfect for us, gave us the feeling of "Alaska". We totally enjoyed the atmosphere and the location. We were just a block from the water and an easy walk to town and we could walk to some amazing hiking trails. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

Quiet cabin in Craig, AK
Cabin duplex located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood on the Craig, AK spit. The friendly, kind, host, Madeleine, has everything you need and is great to work with. Neighborhood is very quiet and you can walk down to the coastline or to the dock area to JT Browns General store for some coffee and meeting the locals. We had a rental truck and there is parking on the side of cabin. We took day trips all over the island from Craig and it was nice coming back to this cozy, nicely decorated cabin.
