"Clean rooms close to transport and very helpful staff"

"My recent stay at Ciloms Airport Lodge was extremely disappointing compared to my previous visits. The facilities are now very outdated and the room was not in the best condition, which made the overall experience quite poor. During the night the alarm went off two to three times, repeatedly waking guests and completely disrupting sleep. It made the stay very frustrating and uncomfortable. The breakfast offering was also very disappointing. For $25, all that was provided was eggs on toast, which is far below what you would reasonably expect for that price. It was one of the worst breakfast experiences I have had at a hotel. Overall, the quality has fallen a long way from what I previously experienced here. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here and I would not return."

"The Ibis Styles is a very short, flat walk to/from Terminals 3&4. There is a shuttle if you don’t want to walk but it 5 min max to walk. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff were great."

"I recently stayed at Flagstaff Gardens Hotel Melbourne and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with their valet parking service. I paid $65 for valet parking, which I was completely fine with — I understand that’s their standard charge. However, the service was extremely poor. When I requested my car, I was told it would be ready in 5 minutes. I ended up waiting 25 minutes and the car still wasn’t there. When I asked again how much longer it would take, they simply said, “Sorry, we forgot.” I couldn’t believe it. After that, I had to wait another 20 minutes. In total, they wasted almost an hour of my time. Because of this delay, I missed a specialist appointment that I had travelled 5 hours to attend. This was very important to me, and the lack of professionalism and care from the valet team caused serious inconvenience. Charging $65 for valet is fine — but the service should at least be organised and reliable. Very disappointing experience."
