“Had a decent stay. Bed was not very comfortable though. Staff were polite. Food was just okay. Probably not stay again due to the fact on my day of departure, I practically had to walk over all the clean bedding and towels for the next guests because they had been placed on the floor outside my room and on the stairs that everyone uses to get to and from the rooms. Everything should have all been in a clean laundry bag.”

“Overall a great experience, the staff were extremely helpful and polite. First morning no fruit or yogurt at breakfast and second morning got our breakfasts completely wrong. The room was really nice and the bed very comfortable, I would definitely stay again.”

“Room was lovely . Clean spacious high tech fittings warm and some lovely bathroom accessories. Alex the manager went over and above to make us feel welcome as did Rebecca on arrival . The food was really delicious by chef Rag Thank you for our Christmas stay and we’ll be back. Doro Jillings”

“Gorgeous hotel room right in the heart of Marlborough! We booked the room with the golden bath which was such a treat. The breakfast offering was very generous and the room had everything you could need (it would be helpful to have some bath products by the side of the bath, as the shower gel etc in the shower were attached to the wall which made it tricky). Otherwise 10/10!”

“Great location, free parking and easy walk up to the small town centre and surrounding countryside. Staff were very helpful. Nice old property but a little dull sometimes and lacked character. Clean though. There were issues with water pressure, effecting showers etc. this was explained on arrival, so was not a surprise. Breakfast was unexciting and just ‘okay’ with overcooked scrambled eggs, dry bacon and a pot of beans that was more juice than beans. A comfortable stay despite the quibbles.”

“Our stay at the Jack Russell was very enjoyable. The service was excellent and the food was very good. The bedroom was very comfortable with a lovely view. However, the lighting was very subdued which is relaxing but it would have been useful to have more efficient reading lamps. The breakfast bar was good but it would have been nice to have a selection of nuts and seeds and full fat natural yoghurt. ”

“Great little pub with large outside seating area. Pizza night Fridays & very nice too. Room very comfy a little warm being at the top of the building but had a good air con fan. Probably not a common problem in this part of the world!!!”

“All clean and ready, but I woke up freezing and had to double up my duvet. The fire light was also very bright and I found it hard to get to sleep and to get to sleep again. ”

“Blood stained on the bed sheets! When I requested to change the bed sheets, the staff told me that its their policy to change every 3 days!!”
