The home was just right for a fall weekend of board games, deep conversations, and watching wildlife. Plenty of cozy bedrooms and a good dining room table for games, plus a well-stocked firepit. The hosts were gracious when we had questions.
Very relaxing and peaceful location! We loved watching all the wildlife from the patio. The kids loved spending time on lake with the Kayaks! The house had nice comfortable beds and all the amenities. Large entertainment center in basement where kids enjoyed cuddling up with a blanket and watching movies in the evenings.
We had a good time in Crosslake. Celebrated the St Patty's Day festivities with girlfriends. House had plenty of room for the six of us and all the necessities that we needed. Getting to the house was a little tricky. Google wanted us to pull in by the shed but there was no access to the house from that driveway. We finally figured it out and once at the house it was easy to get in and start the weekend. We enjoyed the hot tub and there a walking path in the neighborhood with great views of lakes and forest. I bet in the summer it is really beautiful. Conrad was easy to work with and very responsive.
Great property for a weekend away! Amenities of the house were all very nice nice and what we expected. Would recommend this VRBO for anyone looking for a nice relaxing weekend that is nice and secluded and on a lake.
Everything was very straightforward and communicated well. Couldn’t have asked for anything better! The place is in a great spot on a small private lake, definitely a hidden jem in northern MN. Would love to make it back someday!
We had a nice stay at this property. Pros: Private lake was quiet. Kayaking was great (but there was only one paddle so we could only use one). 2 loons were fun to watch and listen to, and we saw a bald eagle as well. Lake was deep enough for a nice swim off the end of the dock. Yard was great, fire pit and hot tub we nice to enjoy. Large, flat lawn was fun for games. House was good size with new appliances. It had great common spaces. Close to Crosslake and Nisswa, so we enjoyed the town and mini golf nearby. Cons: house was mostly clean, but it needed a good deep clean. Sheets were sandy. Screens were missing so we couldn’t open the windows, which was a bummer on cool MN evenings.
The cabin was not very clean. Found lots of food crumbs in the cupboards, food residue in the sink. We planned to cook most our meals there and there was only 2 pots to cook with. The utensils were disgusting and filthy. It had cooled down so we wanted to open the windows and let some fresh air in but half the windows didn’t have screens on them. The bedroom with the king bed was extremely hot as well as the other bedroom. Thank goodness we brought some fans. We couldn’t open the window because it didn’t have a screen on it. The downstairs bed was awful. My daughter and son in-law couldn’t sleep in there together. The cobwebs were terrible in the house. We never used the hot tub because the smell was so bad.Other than the cleanliness we enjoyed our time especially seeing all of the deer.
