"What a wonderful gem! The accommodation is as lovely as the pictures show. Very clean and spacious and has everything you need including some outdoor space. We were pleasantly surprised by this place and it’s one of our favourite properties to date. The location is absolutely superb. Lovely trail walk to the coastal trail but secluded enough that it’s quiet and private. There’s a trail across the fields to get to a great little pub with excellent food. "The owner has personally built a superb shepherds hut escape . Hut was of the highest standard and thoroughly thought out . Shower was a delight , bed very comfortable. Kitchen well designed in a limited space . This hut has two comfortable chairs to relax in . Wood burning stove was not lite as property was so well insulated . Outside was so well designed, in the summer would be perfect . Close to A30 so some noise which for me was noticed as I live in the countryside without background...

"The setting was perfect, the description of a woodland retreat was spot on. We loved sitting gazing out at the squirrels playing in the trees and were lucky enough to have them come up to the door and peer in. After leaving out almonds for them we had daily visits.Seagulls Rest was beautifully styled, it felt welcoming and cosy. Thank.you to Tina who was so helpful with our enquiries. Kevin and Michelle have thought of everything and were excellent with communicating details for directions and check in/out times. The location is brilliant, so close to St Ives and Carbis Bay, and the main bus route is right on the main road. Would highly recommend to anyone considering staying here. "

"We had a lovely 5 night stay here. Location is excellent. We initially planned to stay in St Ives but due to the parking situation decided to stay in Carbis Bay instead. And there is parking spaces at the property as well as on street parking When we checked in , the lady was friendly and helpful The room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was great, had free wifi and fridge was stocked with juice, yoghurts, pastries as well as there being tea and coffee available and milk Location was perfect. It’s a 5/10 min walk from Carbis Bay beach, which is a lovely, chilled out beach that looks absolutely beautiful. We had a wander to the next beach across through a lovely scenic route in the hills Also St Ives is a 3/4 minute train ride from Carbis bay, or a nice Half hour walk Finally there were also some great places to eat nearby, we had an amazing fish and Chips at Becks which is just a few minutes walk away, had a couple of great meals at The Gannet and also picked up some yummy cakes from Yvettes Pantry which was a 10min walk away There is also a Costcutter right next to the property which came in handy, as well as a Tesco roughly 10/15mins away"

"3/5 – Decent stay, but tight on space Overall an okay experience. The room was quite small for two people on a week-long trip — storage was limited and we genuinely struggled to find space to open and access our suitcases properly. It's also not a modern hotel, though that's probably fairly typical for the area. There's also no lift, which made carrying heavy luggage up to the room a real struggle. The hotel is right next to a main road, so it was noisy even with the windows closed. On the plus side, the staff were helpful throughout, and the chef was friendly and made a nice impression. The location is a real strength — easy access to both bus and train, so getting around Penzance and beyond was convenient. Given the price we paid, though, it didn't quite feel like it matched the value — for the cost, I'd have expected a bit more in terms of room size and amenities."
