"It’s a rustic property in a very good location along the Methow River. There are a series of cabins, and a few larger buildings with 8 units per building, 4 on each of 2 floors. We stayed in the latter, in a first floor room. I would rate the stay as very good, allowing for the rustic nature and location. There is a gas station and well-stocked grocery store next door. The room was quite large with adequate furniture, s small fridge, microwave etc. Water pressure and hot water very adequate, also the number of power outlets, parking etc. Free wifi though not fast. The area is very quiet and safe. The room interior was entirely of wood, a brown color, which made everything appear dark. The bed linens and comforter felt old. These were the two main shortcomings in my view. Overall we had a very good stay of three days, during which we spent a day each in North Cascades NP, Grand Coulee, and Lake Chelan area. Each of these is an hour or two drive from the Virginian. The surroundings are very scenic and have a charm unspoiled by over-tourism."

"We stayed here for a single night on our way through the Northern Cascades with our daughters 8 and 10. What a find! The staff were super helpful. There were lots of return guests. The beds were comfortable. The laundry was great and clean. The walls were on the thin side but not awful. Pool and hot tub were excellent and we did the river tubing with our girls. We would definitely stay here again."

"Beautiful surroundings and a responsive host. The house is in a great location - very close to Route 20 and the entrance to the park but tucked away in mature trees so it's quiet and private."

"Loved the Deer Run Chalet! The kitchen was well stocked, and we appreciated the toiletries provided. We had a blast playing the piano, Scrabble, and cards. Looking forward to booking this property again!"

"Our recent stay was exactly what we needed it to be. Quiet, cozy and convenient to trailheads, grocery stores and restaurants. Easy and prompt communication with the host about one issue. Expressed real urgency to help us resolve it. Well stocked kitchen made it easy to do majority of cooking "at home". Appreciate staying in a place that really is dog friendly. Love the area!!"

"It is a cute place, be ready for a more rustic experience as far as bathrooms and washrooms go. The only thing I didn’t like is that it was a very flimsy lock, and we were the only ones on property for most the stay with spotty cell phone service. That part didn’t feel safe. If there were on site help or other campers around I think I would have felt more safe."
